People are always focusing on the negative results of Steph being here.

However, if not for him, Isiah may still have been in control of the team long enough to

a) give Crawful a Knick4life extension this summer

b) waste another 2-3 years justifying the Curry trade

I'd say that makes Steph a hero [by accident] and we should all wish him the best in his future NBA endeavors

high comedy... Steph's a hero... good one bro, good one.

Don't forget about the offseason hilarity that Steph brought to us on a yearly basis.

Steph first put Isiah in his place when he tried to bench him on the plane. Then he displayed ultimate courage when testifying at the trial. Stephon made sure when he took the stand justice would be served, even if it meant embarassing himself and hurting his wife and family.

MSG losing the trial was likely the leverage Stern needed to get Dolan to reassign Isiah. Thomas remaining in power any longer had far more horrifying, terrifying, nauseasting, disturbing, and distressing consequences than anything Steph has done in his time here.

That is why he is a hero to us all.

Fairwell Stephon. Godspeed!

If you have to write this much in order to defend someone, there is probably a good chance that the person you are defending is an a-hole.

it's the equivalent to having a low post count.

You will lose this battle my friend. This won't end well for you. I am in the process of creating an "explode Ultimate Knicks server" button. I will keep in next to my Ignore button and use it as I see fit.

Never fear martin. It will work as well as his vaunted "I'm a gonna get you banned button" and the ever-famous "retrieve my award winning pictures-post button"

Keep up the good work, martin, whatever it is.

Okay, Okay officer, i'm moving along...really i'm moving...

I wait with bated breath for that historic Bip post #500.

I will be sure to log in about 15 months after it's posted to comment.

Look at Iverson...same thing. Marbury could have led that same Sixer team to the finals because it was constructed to succeed with one dominant player controlling the offense with the other four players cleaning up his mess.

Marbury at his prime couldn't sniff AI's jockstrap when he was winning MVP awards, let's get real here.

You're sure of that?

Check their efficiency before you go for that opinion. AI was always a chucker he just happened to luck into quite possibly THE BEST supporting cast for such a player in the history of the game.

All the game's chuckers wish they had that cast for one season. They too would all be highly successful in that environment. Marbury is no different.

Look at Iverson now? He's been garbage since he left that environment. Hasn't played any different really so why the falling off a cliff?

I hate to agree with anyone on here, but at his peak Iverson would only pass the ball as a last resort, possibly after the game was over. Stirbury was, as has been described here and elsewhere several billion times, a drive and dish shooting guard. And when they were both at their zenith, those were the matchups people always wondered about when talking about your backcourt's defensive liabilities.

That said, I can't wait for the dopey 3-headed freak to retire so we don't talk about him anymore. Hey, has anyone started a "Comparitive loss of posters from Bermanbury's blog" thread?

Talentwise Marbs was in AI's ballpark. Problem is that marbs could never lead a team anywhere. For one or two seasons AI did.
