I think we take a chance on hughes and I wonderif we could get wilcox from the thunder

Wait...What? Is this King1 speak for look for a Wilcox deal? Who are you hearing?

malik for wilcox could be straight up.

Is this real rumour(oxymoron)? Jefferies straight up for Wilcox works too.

yeah, but why would they want to take back jefferies' contract? it's not a secret that jefferies is a flaming overpaid turd.

True but Wilcox for Malik is a nothing for nothing deal. Both are FA's at the end of the season. It is a move that only really benefits us(Wilcox slides in as our starting center, imo). Wilcox isn't even that great of a shotblocker is he?

Marc Stein: Word is coming in that the Knicks are closing in on some new players.

It is not immediately clear if this would be two separate trades or a three-way exchange, but I'm hearing that Oklahoma City's Chris Wilcox -- who went back to the Thunder on Wednesday night when the Tyson Chandler trade was rescinded -- and Chicago's Larry Hughes are New York-bound.

To complete the transaction(s), Oklahoma City would get Malik Rose and Chicago would receive Tim Thomas, Jerome James and Anthony Roberson.

Trying to nail it all down for you.

That would make the Knicks better. Wilcox is much better than Jefferies. He can start the 5 and put David Lee back to 4. Im like this

agreed. i'd actually like to take a look at Wilcox at starting center. heck, he'd be the biggest guy on the team in terms of defensive pressence. he's the kind of antonio davis type walsh likes.

Thanks bro. Major props. I love it.

Wilcox
Lee
Chandler
Hughes
Duhon

Nate, Harrington, Gallo off the bench.

Need a Small move for a backup PG, imo.

Jefferies for James?

putting it that way, it actually makes sense. we'd also have an open roster spot. maybe for Pargo?

Bulls and Knicks have agreed to a trade. Larry Hughes for Tim Thomas and Jerome James. I'm told it's waiting for league approval. (via Chad Ford)

No more Roberson? There IS a God!!! lol.

Hughes? Eh, look, I know we desperately need a 2G, but do we need essentially Jamal Crawford back but with a bad attitude to boot? IMO not really. There is some confusion on Hughes contract - you read some Bulls fans forums and it sounds like he has a team option for 2010 - if that's true then that's very good. I can't find that for real on actual salary sites though they have no option listed for him just a straight 2010 contract.

Wilcox? I always liked him when he was younger but he never really put it together. However, Wilcox for Malik? Straight up steal and big help for us because he would start at Center.

So, we don't dump any 2011s unfortunately if this is all true but it does fix up our roster/rotation somewhat all the same for the meantime.

....again though as always these days I will wait for actual league approved confirmation before anything else.

As per Chad Ford's Chat....
Derek from Detroit: IS IT THE KNICKS MAKING A DEAL????????????

SportsNation Chad Ford: Yes. Bulls and Knicks have agreed to a trade. Larry Hughes for Tim Thomas and Jerome James. I'm told it's waiting for league approval.

SportsNation Chad Ford: Sorry guys, I've got to run. I have to write this story for ESPN.com. Keep checking back on the site over the next few hours. I'm sure there is more to come. Great chat today, over 10,000 questions. Wow.
