wasnt OKC going to sing Lee away from us?

Who's next? That just leaves Memphis right?

Portland, maybe.

sigh, this is depressing as a guy who liked to root for chris paul and watch the hornets. the hornets are a fringe playoff team without chandler. this is like when the knicks gave away camby for nothing. hornets are done. when is chris paul a free agent?

player option summer of 2012

This was a great move by the THunder. They finally have a competent center and with Westbrook at the point and chandler manning the middle, their defense should improve dramatically. If we could sell them on the idea of picking up David Lee as their PF and trade for some of their draft picks, we would be golden. Great move by the Thunder. Walsh needs to do something similar.

imho - okc > portland...

starting next season, absolutely... today, no.

but I wanted to ask you about the Bosh to the Bulls rumors I've seen... is it speculation, or is there an actual package floating aroudn that makes sense?

that rumor was shot down by a bunch of other writers. if bosh is moved, it won't be this deadline. the rumor is that golden state is offering biedrins + randolph + #1 pick for bosh or amare. now that's a pretty decent deal...

If I were Toronto, I would take that deal in a heartbeat. I think there is only a 50/50 chance Bosh resigns with Toronto. They could do that deal and save themselves some cap space to retool their team. Most of their players are fairly young, so starting over is probably the best move for them.

Chandler
XXX
Green
Durant
Westbrook

I would say that that is probably the perfect team for Lee. You think OKC would trade their first rounder to the knicks for him???

And Durant is about to become a top 10 player........... watch!!!!

http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/57321/20090217/knicks_could_deal_nate_for_miller_or_salmons/

The Knicks have reportedly told the Kings that they are interested in Brad Miller and John Salmons, and could send Nate Robinson to Sacramento in order to land one of the two.

Other potential players that New York could trade in order to land either Miller or Salmons include Malik Rose and Jerome James.

It is also believed that the Knicks have told the Kings that they have no intention of trading Stephon Marbury and his $20.8 million expiring contract.

wow, they are going to be good very quickly. How the heck did they come to get 5 first round picks over the next 2 drafts?

as this trade clearly shows, draft picks & cap space give u flexibility to make deals... this is not a new concept & yet people seem to be so opposed to going that route around here these days... it's puzzling to me.

This trade is false because Salmons goes into 2011. The only way the Knicks do this is if the Kings take back Jeffries.

what's the false part? If the dude can help the team, Walsh says he would make small exceptions. The dude has a reasonable contract.

On a somewhat related note, Durant dropped 47 tonight and almost beat the Hornets by himself.
