man, i haven't heard anything about miller in like 4 years. thought he played his way out of the league. i remembered that he was good awhile back. however, if it is a salry dump, then i am all for it. to get rid of either jeffries or curry would be ideal.

Genius if Donnie pulls it off but the Kings are looking to shed salary.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Realgm is saying that its Jefferies that might be included but the Kings want Nate- I say no deal on that.

I say deal. Nobody is taking Jeffries in any trade unless we give something up.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

I say double deal on that. Nate's loyalty is with the $$$, let him go and test the market. If he helps us move JJ2, I say deal

I can't imagine us at all doing Nate + Malik for Miller.

how about this instead?

BTW - if you add N8 to the deal, it either means the Kings send us cash or Salmons is in the deal. I like Salmons, but not sure if Walsh would want his contract expiring in 2011. One thing certain, we can trade him next year easier than JJ2

I'd prefer not to get Salmons because his deal goes past 2010, even if it includes Jeffries, although he is more tradable.

I offered the other deal because after Miller's deal expires next year, we could still keep young guys like Garcia and Greene to ward off losing Nate and not kill us capwise.

Garcia is signed for 5 years on the cheap, and he can shoot. As a backup guard for D'Antoni he fits well, no?

If we are giving up Nate, then KMart is coming back. Bottom line.

In other words, if we want to move Jeffries (which has to be part of the deal then), the point is to get his $$$ off the books for 2010.

Trading for Salmons won't help us there, but he would be easier to move next year.

I dunno about that. No way is Sac-Town giving up Martin with Nate involved, unless they are getting something more than that.

If we can get them to take Jeffries, then I'd be cool with grabbing some of their young cheap players (who are in the deal I offered...Garcia and Greene).

I don't know what the overall proposed deal is, but anything involving JJ and Salmons is good in my books, even at the cost of Nate.

First, Salmons is $1M less in the 2010 season than JJ. Second, he actually has value on the court - he shoots from downtown VERY well and defends 1-on-1 like a maniac.

Not for nothing, and I'm not saying that it's possible, but>>>>>

if you can move N8 and JJ2 to Sac

AND

Lee and Curry to Portland

we'd be sitting fairly nicely in 2010 even if we pick up a contract or two. In that scenario, Salmons would be a nice piece now and in 2010.

I just realized that Garcia's deal gets much BIGGER next year, although it drops a bit for 2010, and then back up again in 2011.

Maybe you can substitute Hawes for Garcia instead, although I prefer Garcia as a player for us.

I'd take Hawes, but I'd love to get Jason THompson
