I'd love to know the height of every poster who clowns Nate for being the about the average height of an American adult male.

Nate has driven me crazy in seasons past, but I really can't get too worked up about him these days. Hell, I can't get too worked up about the Knicks at all. As a sworn NBA guy, I really think I'm about to get into college basketball for the first time in my life.

I'll admit, I like him because he's undersized and competes with the big boys, and brings the all-hallowed "energy" needed in the new system.

No one is sacred on this roster. I just hope if we get rid of him or Lee, we get value in return. But I'm thankful that those two have been at least the only players I been able to consistently root for for the last 3 years.

Nate and I are about the same size. I've always considered myself a midget. Thus my attitude towards Nate.
I just hope that people will like me

Nothing personal, but I hate how all the worms come out of the forest floor mucus for march madness. Like college ball represents some sort of 'purity'. Sort of like the 40 and 50 year old geeks who get boners going to watch high school basketball Christmas tournaments. Gets me almost as nauseous as WNBA highlights. College ball...rah rah rah.

i don't watch cbb anymore cause it's rent a player for a year ball. in the days when guys played 3 or 4 years for a school cbb was as exciting to watch as the pros.

But what about Gus Johnson and the thrill of the upset format? Whipeeeeee! I agree I can't stand college basketball and only tolerate March Madness whenever I feel like making the Pools relevant.

Homie, I feel you. I'm 32 years old and I never got into NCAA ball, never did brackets, none of that. I couldn't get excited about games in the 50-60 point range with exploited amateurs playing with a 2 minute shot clock or whatever it is. But I'm that bored with January NBA ball right now. So I'm gonna watch a couple of Big East games this year to pass my time. I ain't gonna be Max Preps anytime soon.

i dunno if u'r referring to me or not but i'm not trying to clown him for his height, only making a fair observation... his height is a huge disadvantage in this sport & will cause him to struggle to get off his shots in traffic, it's just a fact... btw, i'm 6 ft. since u asked.

I'm completely 100% sure done with SHRIMP, MIDGET, DWARF, Nate. He's dead to me. He doesn't even exist. I don't know how you can get trade value for a player that doesn't exist.

Was he really that bad tonight? I couldn't watch the entire game because of family issues.

Are you sure Nate wasn't the one creating your family issues with his terrible play?

When Cos uploads if his does check out a play when he goes in for a layup. Think back to Cleveland. He shot 4-16 and 1-9 from behind the arc.

Agreed. Don't know why I got all protective of the little guy there, I'm a sentimental fella. ;)

Take Away Nate's License

Nate is being mis-coached to look for his shot first, rather than to dictate tempo or look for the first open man headed in the right direction. The fact that he can shoot is a nice bonus, but as a primary scoring option this is the NBA and teams will simply send a 6'7 defender to put a hand in his face.

The results have not been pretty for a reason. Nate should never be cast as a primary offensive option to provide points.

Nate's going through a tough stretch right now but he's also looked very good at times this season & i seem to remember a lot of posters saying he was the guy they would want to hold onto over D Lee, Harrington or Duhon in the poll i posted a few weeks back... this kid has talent, he just needs to harness it... he's not gonna ever be a #1 or even a #2 scoring option on a good team, but he can fill an important role on any winner... he needs to embrace that role & stop trying to be the star... let the game come to him as they say, i know that's a huge cliche but it's true... he's trying to do too much instead of just playing within the flow of the game... i think he'll be OK once he finally learns that.

Usually Knick fans blow with the wind. Remember when David Lee was Azzz over the summer immediately after the lottery?

seriously fickle fans... 1 night some of the guys on this team are untouchable & the next everyone wants the entire team blown up again... this board can be really bipolar at times.

I never have overrated and then turn on Nate. I always thought he was a wild hair. This yr he still makes the same mistakes he made his first yr here. Sorry my patience ran out with him. He should not be resigned period. Trade him for the most value possible.

i've always looked at him as a #6 sparkplug guy & still think that's the role he's made for... i wouldn't mind having him on the team to fill that role as long as he embraces it & stops trying to be the guy... i don't blame u for running out of patience on him, he's been in the game long enough to know what his role oughta be, but i just happen to like his energy & find there aren't many players in the NBA that are as dynamic or exciting to watch when he's got it going... if we can trade him for a good pick i'd be fine with it, but i don't wanna just get rid of him for the sake of doing so.

Breen mentioned during tonight's Rocket game Nate is looking at film on his shot. He probably should be watching film on how he's running the team and making plays for his teammates. Really it's not even so much his form vs shot selection. This is another reason why I think he'll never get it.
