Cosmic, you have a real soft spot for Duhon. The guy can't guard any man on the court and has 4 unforced turnovers and you want to call out David Lee.
[/quote]

Ugh... Duhon went from surprisingly good - better than he's ever been.... right back to the DuDu that Bulls fans came to love and hate. Mostly Hate.

I TRASHED the signing big time but then I was proven wrong but the past handful of games he's starting to validate my dislike for him.

You mean he's like Clyde..without the idiotic mismatched try-to-hard words with a second pause between each thesaurus looked up word?

Clyde is a joke, which is fitting, I guess, to a joke franchise such as this.
Tripuka is a great announcer. He's like Clyde without the color commentary. Teaches you the game as it goes along. Just without the rhymes and such.

this will be considered blasphemy but clyde doesn't really add anything to the broadcast. in terms of providing analysis, he's no better than tommy heinsohn.

Wow, really? You guys hate Clyde that much? Clyde is very good at pointing out what players could have done to be better, what they did that was wrong, and what they should be doing. The color commentary is a bit much at times but he knows the game and he does a very good job passing it on to you. Or, well, Me..I guess.

Tripuka does nothing different, except, there's no color commentary, it's just straight commentary.

One other thing with Tripuka...he doesn't let Breen just own the telecast. Think about it...with Clyde - Breen just takes over the telecast to an annoying level - going off on topics that have nothing to do with the game - even ignoring the game for minutes at a time. Tripuka seems to prevent this and keep Breen on topic.

That' my point. It feels like a national game where you have a Quinn Buckner type guy fly and do the game. These are regional broadcast.

Hubie and JVG are very good teachers of the game. They also educate you as you watch the game.

Clyde never made it that far (he would probably make a good assistant coach but I guess decided not to) but he's not far behind. He knows his stuff. Once you get past the whole color commentary front he's very astute and he definitely passes on observations you otherwise would not notice about the game you're watching.

I don't know Phar. I see your point to an extent. Trip is still new so hearing any new voice is going to make the game sound different. I think Trip offers some good insight on the plays that are made or the plays that should have been made.

Maybe you just need to get used to his voice?

Westbrook is just abusing Duhon now. Penetrating at will.

Again, I can hear about 1/3rd of the Knick fanbase tonight "That's it, season over, if a games on and I have nothing to do I'll check in, but, I'm not making any plans around a knick game."

Could be. I just wish he provide more insight on his games rather than general talk.

when you look at the knicks as a bad expansion team, then these type of losses don't look so bad. and that's exactly what they are, a bad expansion team.

Or that creepy look he gives the camera on the pre-game. Is it just me? He's got that creepy mini-grin thing going on.

Definitely a good announcer though. Last year on off-knick-nights I'd watch some Nets games (I know I know shut up) and Tripuka was good.

Man, we suck so bad, we're talking about Knick announcers. OUCH.

celtics have lost 4 of the last 6. and they are in OT vs. the cats. regardless of tonight's outcome, it looks like the celtics are in their funk portion of the schedule. they had a mini funk last year in january too.

Okay we sing the praises of the coach after the defensive effort against Celtics. Do we blow up the coach, players, or the organization for this crap I lost 2 hours of my life

Yeah, pretty much, I guess. [Isiah] But we have talented players so how can we be so bad? [/Isiah]

Meh...it is what it is but this is pretty low. And NBDL team would be ashamed to drop 20+ behind the Thunder. In fact, Thunder, sounds like an NBDL team!!!
