if we can at least get SAC's 2nd rd. pick in this deal i would go for it... that pick will likely be 1 of the first in the 2nd round so almost like getting back a late 1st rounder.

Lee is worth their 1st round pick.

The good news in all these crazy rumors is that there actually sounds like there's a market for Curry. I'm more optimistic than ever that we'll get rid of him.

Thats the "ultimateknicks effect" You know...all our players are worthless and nobody in their right mind would trade for anything we have. People around here are even undervaluing our hot chip David Lee.

You dont think there is somebody in the league that can use a 6'11 guy that can score in the paint?

However tall the fat punk ass is. He plays like he is 6'5. Is Curry actually 7 feet?

Not interested at all in this Brad Miller & Salmons for Lee swap. No thanks. That does nothing for us. If we deal Lee, I need young building blocks and/or draft picks. Not really interested in anything else...

nevermind, i thought u were referring to D Lee as the 6'11 guy who can score in the post.

Damn, Sac is that bad huh? Well I've seen stranger trades and the FA stuff is overrated if they can agree on a deal. Why mess with a draft, a weak one at that, when you can get a proven commodity in Lee?

And its not as if Lee is on the tail end of his career, he's just hitting his prime. Lee can fit in with all the track homes and cow shyt they have in Sac. Perfect. I say demand the pick.

to add to the jj/curry/lee for miller/salmons.... I say expand it:

jj/curry/lee/malik for miller/salmons/kenny thomas/#1 pick

They get lots of salary relief we get a pick.

I like that trade but any money they save on K.Thomas contract is made up by Curry's extra yr unless he opts out. So the money would be close to a wash on Sac's side. For the Knicks we would just move contracts from 2011 to 2010 while Salmons would be a big upgrade over JJ even though they have the same length. Addling Lee would be the only reason to even consider that deal even without the pick for Sac.

Without Lee they would be losing out on talent big time. Asking for there first rd pick would be to much. But we could probably pry away that early 2nd rder from them.

You're right about the money, but they get a much bigger upgrade in talent than you're letting on.

we can demand it but ain't no way we're gonna get it... anyways, John Salmons is a very good basketball player & only 29 years old signed to a midlevel salary in 2010... there aren't many veterans who will score 19 ppg for u making that little.

the 1 concern i would have making this trade is what then happens to Wilson Chandler? do u move Salmons to the 2G & play Chandler at the 3? i guess that could work... then w/a natural C in Miller at the 5, u could start Harrington at the 4 & have 3 versatile swingmen players who can all knock down perimeter J's on the wings w/an excellent passer out of the post who can also knock down perimeter J's in Miller, & orchestrating those guys is Duhon, who we have seen is very capable in this style offense... i think there's a good chance this team would be improved by making that trade in the present, & w/the added cap flexibility in 2010, give this team a chance to be much improved in the future... i think if we can at least get back their 2nd round pick (likely to be between #31-33), it's not a bad trade off at all.

you aren't interested in being able to sign another max free agent in 2010 and a 2-way starting SG who is signed to the mid-level? Those are building blocks

If they take Curry AND Jefferies and give back Salmons I'd say go for it. If they just want Lee tho, then we're getting the pick.

That is one messed up deal for us. No way I give DLee for Miller and Salmons.

the key is you'd rid yourself of curry and jeffries' contracts to end up being major league players in the 2k10 FA sweepstakes.

I overstand that but we would need a prospect and or a first round pick in that deal aswell.

I dunno.. i like the prospect of having room for 3 Max guys. This deal makes that possible. Of course, the other 10 players would have to be paid the minimum but so what. Bron, Wade, Bosh '10!

If you think that this will be approved by NBA you are double-delusional.
And if somebody thinks that big FAs will go to NY with no supporting cast you are triple-delusional.
It can be the case that the team who needs Lee more in 2010 is... NY Knicks. And I see Walsh and Mike thinking in this direction.
You guys are leaving in fantasy world if you cannot see commercial and psychological implications of trading or signing Lee. You cannot make team like on bbal fantasy board. It must be build around something.

i'm just sayin cuz seemed like u said unless we get back their 1st rounder u wouldn't do it... i think the absolute most u could get for D Lee now is a late lottery pick or mid 1st rounder.

straight up... i don't see any team willing to give us a top 10 pick for D Lee right now when there's no guarantee they will be able to re-sign him after the season... definitely SAC ain't throwing in their 1st rounder in any deals for D Lee when that pick's likely to be a top 3.

Omg who cares about 1st round picks?!?!? Are you crazy? The Knicks aren't looking to build through the draft......did you not get the Memo? The Knicks are trying to buy elite talent!!! No room for some rookie that needs 3 years to get better.....

As far as right now? Who needs David Lee when you have a starting line-up of:

Pf:Harrington/ fishlips
Sf:Chandler/ timmy
C:Miller
Pg:Duhon/ Nate
Sg:Salmons/ Q

Now that's reinforcements.....not much but yeah son the Knicks get better than what's on the court now......

I'm loving this idea big time.
