It's amazing how he's evolved as a player because as a Wizard(?) he was a one dimensional chucking BUM. Then in Detroit he evolved into a terrific player and you got to respect that. He's entering his twilight though.

I believe he was with the Wolves before going to Detroit.

You are correct sir... Billups history

Oh, I know what I was thinking (thats rare), Stackhouse for Hamilton? Probably... anyways, Billups did well reinventing himself. It's rare you see a player do that.

Chandler is so overrated on this board.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

Yet aside from that 2nd quarter (which was inexcusable) they played hard today. Yet, that quarter where they did not, clearly sunk them.

So no accolades today from this fan. Give it for four quarters, we win this game.

What is it with that anyway? The Knicks are famous for playing hard for 3 quarters, but, getting MURDERED in that 1 quarter they don't seem to care about. You can go back endlessly in history to find evidence of that.

We've stunk since we fell short in LA, but, even then, each game had just ONE quarter where we got destroyed...and the other three, we were even or close to it.

What gives with that?

What the hell was that?!

Chuck an off-balance three that catches nothing. Wow.

Goes back to when Knicks had 97-93 lead, you can't give up open 3's at that point. You gotta play tougher defense....and you can't let Carmelo hit simple step back jumpers.

Chandler is so overrated on this board.

Not recently, in fact early in the year I got trashed for saying I thought he was resorting to chucking from deep.

Regardless, like so many new prospects we take on, we love them at first because they are new, and the odd thing is they seem to be excellent players at first, but as time goes on.... they disappear.

Chandler is a role player and always will be. We don't have a single starter here. Yet, until 2010 comes around we have to sort through our role players and see which ones might be worthy of being our 6-10 players.

Nate, Chandler, Lee all have a case for it. That's about all we have to look forward to for now.

We're not a good team. Unless two Knicks are playing over their heads we're outclassed against most teams in this league. No all-star caliber players.

I have to reiterate that 's honesty is refreshing. No excuses, no dancing around, no bull****ting, no talking down to the fans. Just straight up.

Exactly. And we executed panicked and poorly down the stretch and Carmelo, who is a legit star in this league, took over the game and finished us off.

All I am upset about today's game is we had that classic ONE QUARTER COLLAPSE syndrome. I just don't understand those. It led up to this ending, a loss, all because for nearly all the 2nd quarter, these guys decided they didn't care. Denver 15-20FG, Knicks what 0-500 it felt like. The whole rest of the game we played well, if anything, better than Denver.

So we own 3/4ths of the game and lose. All because of that stupid 1 quarter collapse crap we love to pull.

I'm clueless as to why they do that. I say they, because, they just stopped playing in that 2nd Q. No reason, just did.

I didn't see the first three quarters, but I suspect most teams have let downs like those. The good ones surmount them. We just have no margin for error. We have to play over our heads 40+ mins a game to be competitive.
