No thanks.... that commercialized crap irritates me to no end. This might surprise you (lol...) I hate my own birthday. Leave me the hell alone, stop acting like I'm better than anyone else cause I was born on this day way in the past, don't buy me anything, etc. It is what it is. do u have any kids? my guess is your opinion may change when u see ur kids' faces all excited to be opening up their presents around the holidays... & if u do have kids then please don't buy them socks for Christmas & repeat the vicious cycle.

this Christmas was pretty crappy for me too, but usually it's my favorite time of year... any excuse to get the family together to share some happy memories is all good for me... being away from the ones u love is never easy especially during the holidays.

i don't know but i love the holidays. i get sad every year this time when it is almost over. sure, there are those that go through the ritual and make the holidays a selfish exhibition but i love being with my family and getting gifts for them. for me it is a way of saying thanks for being there all year. true, we should be doing that constantly but let's face, we don't. the holidays rejuvanates tenfold when you have kids. i love watching my son open his presents and he was so happy getting his stuff this year. this is probably the last year i can play santa so made this one count.
