Wake me up in 2010. Anything the Knicks do right now is irrelevant. There are only three players to keep from the current roster and that is Chandler, Duhon and Gallanari. The rest are not a part of anything the Knicks do after 2010.

The Knicks need not give Lee and Nate a contract. Should look to get players in rookie contracts that last past 2010 and draft picks that is the most logical course of action for the Knicks. Al Harrington is as bad as Crawford but like most have said its his contract that is better than Crawford's. The fact that he shoots to much without hesitation is a detriment in any system I don't care if it is 7 secs or less. Quality shots is what makes a team successful. Can the Knicks please start tanking and start making trades to get rid of the current players for players in the their rookie contracts and draft picks while improving their chances in the draft.

They're all posting on Berman's blog.

Since I spent the first 7 years of my life on the West Coast I consider myself an expert on rebuilding.

WTF does a 7 yr old know? Seriously dude. You are the most arrogant poster around.

It is so obvious that I have become so spectacular as a poster that it is beginning to make other posters insecure. I would apologize, but I personally do not apologize for my greatness. And as for me being arrogant, that is a crock of crizzap. I am far from arrogant. I am actually very modest. My extreme modesty is actually one of the many qualities that makes me so great. I would go into some of the others but it would take far to long to discuss all of them. Well, I'm here so please let me name a few; modesty, I'm extremely good looking, amazing sense of humor, Intelligence that is unmatched, A joy to be around, sexy as all get up, giant extremeties, a wonderful head of hair(that I shave each week for the ladies), I'm very powerful, abs of steel etc. There are many more but I don't want to overwhelm you and make you angrier. Plus I'm sure that my wonderful writing ability is above your intelligence level and probably difficult for you to understand.

In a word, lighten up Francis, it was a joke

I never got one thank you Bip. Not one thank you for all the money I gave you so you can get so much makeup that you consider yourself good looking. Not one thank you for being better at you than anything, that you got your modesty. Not one thank you for providing you with the juice so you can get your abs of steel. Not one thank you for supplying you with the pills that increases the size of your extremities, significantly. Not one thank you for giving you a jokebook that I WROTE, so that you can make people laugh. Not one thank you for all the education I inflicted in you, since we met on the MSG boards. Not one thank you for all the rogaine I suggested you get, so you can make your hair look great. And especially not one thank you for copying all of my posts, so that you can pretend to be a good writer.

Bip, you have been EXPOSED!

I can't keep up. Isn't it better for our players to play awful? That way we don't have to worry about losing them in free agency for nothing?

It's amazing to me how some people on this site react to every little thing that happens. Some go up and down like the Stock Market, depending on the result of the most recent game. Others can place a negative spin on anything that occurs. Others were able to turn Isiah into a coaching genius who was about to unleash upon the NBA a magical hybrid unstoppable offense. Whatever happened to the level headed, even keeled, New Yorker? Yes I laughed at that question too.

Since I spent the first 7 years of my life on the West Coast(sorry elite for injecting another story into this topic), I consider myself an expert on rebuilding. We are rebuilding. When you rebuild you lose games. You lose games because you don't have the players you want. You also lose games because you have young players that are still learning. Sometimes they look like world beaters and other times they look like losers. It will be this way for a little while. The good news is our front office understands we are rebuilding and is making moves accordingly. We are in December. Will we get another draft pick? Maybe, maybe not. What I do know is that it's too early to be devastatingly sad that we won't get one. And ridiculous to rehash trades of guys that led us to 23 wins or were obviously delusional. And insane to worry about the future of a player everytime he has a good week or bad week.

Martin/Andrew do you guys have statistics on how many UK posters die of heart attacks on a daily basis? The stress level here is out of control.
Having multiple good options is worse than having no good options.

Harrington has played much better defense, he is just a much better player. Not only would I take Harrington's good games over TT's good games... But i'd take his bad games over TT's bad games. During AH bad games he still is out there causing havoc giving effort even tho he is missing shots he is always a threat. I cant believe I am even defending this.... It really is about as a crazy comparison as ive seen here... Tim Thomas and Al Harrington??? Have u taken any note of Al Harringtons pre game preperation? How hard the dude works?? Tim Thomas??? Again... ARe you serious???
What ever way you want to cut it--they are two similar player of the same size with the same game and numbers.
No. There's a big difference in their rebounding (50% more boards for Harrington) and there are small differences ALL favoring Harrington in scoring, FG%, and assists. For the same price, I'd bet all 30 GMs would take Al over Tim. And if both were on their roster, I'd bet all 30 coaches would play Al ahead of Tim.

Tim Thomas 11.8 4.2 1.6 43.8%
Al Harrington 13.2 5.8 1.9 44.9%

both 6-9 240
if you consider Tim stats have taken a slight dive over the last 3 years going to a back up role--it's nearly identical[even as is] --same player one 3 years younger. If you are suggesting there is a material difference between TT and Al--youre just wrong--they are basically the same player--big F tweeners who like to sit on the perimeter a lot dont rebound well for their size and dont pass. Case closed.

I don't see how you can really bash the Crawful trade. Anything you complain about Harrington, Craw does worse. And has a longer contract. A draft pick? Why stop there? I'm disappointed we couldn't land LBJ with Craw + our King James + filler.

No- my preference would have been trading Crawford to a contending team like a New Orleans or San Antonio, getting back a lesser player than Harrington, but a draft pick, perhaps in 2010 when we don't have one.

i agree w/u franco, that woulda been my preference too, but i can't complain too much about Harrington, he's been a good player for us since he's been here for the most part & the cap relief will prove to be huge in a couple years.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

I'd like to think we have something between the guy that was unconscious and the one that has crashed to earth.

Biggest problem with trading Crawford is we should have found a way to get a first round pick out of the deal.

Why do you think this was possible?

6-9 245 and Big Al after his great start is shooting 32% over his last 4 games with a staggering 68 FGA's! How can you shoot that badly at that size? He's a slightly younger Tim Thomas
did you say he was going to opt out a week ago and get max money and the Knicks would get no compensation and we cant afford to lose him for nothing and hes coming into his own and why didnt we draft anthony randolph and sign rodney white and abdur rahim and javale mcgee and my oh my oh my oh my oh...

Manic depression is touching my soul
I know what I want but I just don't know
How to, go about gettin' it
Feeling sweet feeling,
Drops from my fingers, fingers
Manic depression is catchin' my soul

Woman so weary, the sweet cause in vain
You make love, you break love
It's all the same
When it's, when it's over, mama
Music, sweet music
I wish I could caress, caress, caress
Manic depression is a frustrating mess

Well, I think I'll go turn myself off,
And go on down
All the way down
Really ain't no use in me hanging around
In your kinda scene

Music, sweet music
I wish I could caress, caress, caress
Manic depression is a frustrating mess
