Contrary to popular belief, I highly doubt Nate will be resigned in the offseason. D'Antoni loved Joe Johnson and Q. Rich in Phoenix, but when the goal is to cut salary...good players become expendable. With the trade I proposed, Nate becomes the best guard on his new squad (yes better than Randy Foye). Minnesota is not in budgeting mode like the New York, so they can offer Nate a sizable contract without a problem. With Rashad MacCants, we get more of a traditional shooting guard size wise with a similar skill set as Nate's (even though he is not a good as Nate right now). I believe McCants can excel in this offense and have a bigger impact on defense than Nate. And if it doesn't work, he expires in 2010.

why does Charlotte covet him again?

When Curry averaged 19 & 7, he was out of shape, sensitive and needed a mentor to guide him. I think Curry is making a bigger deal out of his injury because he knows he is not going to play. Usually injured players sit on the bench. Curry doesn't even come to the games. Eddy Curry knows basketball is his meal ticket (no pun intended). So he is going to continue doing what gets him those paychecks. With Brown's philosophy, a trade for Curry can really balance their team and Curry does not have to be in tip top shape to be effective in their slow walk it up offensive style. Curry will not be effective in this system, so let Larry Brown's senile ass get him off out hands.

I love Nate (and the rest of our guys) as much as the next guy, but you can't look at deals from one side alone.

I'm not. Nate will bring a buzz back to Minnesota. Minnesota easily gets the better player in this deal. If they are willing to resign Telfair, then why wouldnt they resign Robinson. Move Foye to the 2 guard where he is more comfortable with Nate running the point, Miller at the 3, and Love and Jefferson at the 4 & 5, you got yourself a nice little squad.

Also they were in rebuilding mode to begin with. Why do you think Garnett is a Celtic?

You haven't said why NY would trade away the better player. Or why they would do it at all.

You said we wouldn't sign Nate in 2010 cause of the shedding of salary, so why trade for McCants who has the same contract ending?

Nate is playing well for NY and has gotten better every year. McCants is constantly hurt.

Your right they do have the same contract. I thought McCants was a year longer. My bad. How about Morris Almond. The Jazz don't really have depth at the PG spot.

How about we trade David Lee and Nate Robinson for Morris Almond and a trade exception. Oh wait, maybe we can trade them for 3 million dollars. Can we move out first rounder too for a future 2nd rounder? How do we give away our good players for nothing... hmm......
