You are confusing me with someone who is buying all this injury junk. D'Antoni admitted that he wasn't ready injury or not. That's why he wanted to ship him to the D-League. At some point though the excuses will have to stop. See you in another 6-8 weeks for a fresh batch of them though.

Whatever, dude. Its still silly that you are arguing because you believe the guy wasn't ready for prime time when the guy is: a. a rookie, b. foreigner, c. injured.

But alright, go on. Hope that Gallo is a bust just to prove your point.

Meanwhile I will hope that the guy can recover so he can help the Knicks become a good team in the future. As any Knicks fan would.

Here is my problem with the Gallo pick. He came in and did light shooting for us and one other team. He didn't go against anyone. He was probably hurt when we drafted him, maybe not bad, but just enough that we probably should have passed.

At this point, I think we've drafted the Italian version of TJ Ford.

I hope he gets better and proves to be an excellent talent, but having seen him play about 20 minutes of 1 summer league game, I'm not hopeful- and that's just realism.

There is no "tank" in building a team.

There are no jiffy pop fixes, Betty Crocker cakemix shortcuts, lopsided trades, wet fantasy deals or all star free agents promised, no matter how much cap space you have in your wallet. By the time 2010 rolls around the country could be in a depression so severe that Marbury has his jet on e-bay and the players union is forced to dissolve. Nothing is promised. Not even Wise.

Tank?

You talking about tanking? Tanking? Not the game, not the game... tanking. How silly is that?

The Knicks are on a steady path to find 6-7 guys they can move forward with. Guys who bring it every night, no matter the outcome. You don't build comraderie or confidence by losing, or more important, thinking like a loser. That loser mentality creates many more problems than a lack of talent could ever cause.

No my brotha. You never "tank". You strap on your athletic supporter, rub on some eye black and go to war. You start fights. You create havoc and you battle to the last possible nanosecond.

You play to win the game.

You give Quentin Richardson some nice parting gifts. Then you add the best avaialble shooting guard in the draft.

You build a house by adding one complimentary brick at a time.

we gots lots of complimentary players, but no superstar, or for that matter, side kicks.

We maybe can get a superstar in 2010. That is a maybe with a capital M.

Where is the healthy does of sidekicks? Do we have to get everything in 2010 on the FA market?

Best thing we could do is stink the joint up this year and place in the top 5, and hope 2009 is the year this thing starts to move forward and look better.

He Don't Know Karate But The Answer Man Channels Master Po

Q. franco - Where is the healthy does of sidekicks?

A. Please define what a basketball "sidekick" is in terms that we can have an adult basketball conversation. I like the Knicks active guys, sans Quentin Richardson, Malik Rose and Jerome James. Based on the fact it is early December, and the determination they have shown despite being shorthanded, there are seven dudes Walsh can take into the future.

The Knicks are closer to being consistent than you may realize. Stop looking only at the scoreboard.

Q. franco - Do we have to get everything in 2010 on the FA market?

A. Nope, But if you want D'Antoni to cook the meal, he gotta be able to pick the groceries

patience grasshopper
