Stephon Marbury starring as "The Nothing".
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Play marbury 48min!

I think Marbury's comments made him a malcontent deserving of exile in the mode of Gazy from the bulls, and Penny from the knicks.

I believe the team was doing everything it could to incite this kind of reation from Mr Potato HeadBury giving cause for banishment.

They did it to Larry, they easy can do it to TysonBury.

The only one who seems to get it is Isiah. If your gonna get banished with a gag order, just self medicate with bar"bitch"uates and be comfortably numb. Just gotta remember how many you took!

divorce time folks. lawyers talk to lawyers.

I wonder if Marb's league appointed mouth piece is happy about flying in only to have to sit there and make small talk with Walsh while Marb's strolls in 20 minutes late wearing a T shirt to negotiate his multi-million dollar buyout, only to storm out and leave him sitting there with nowhere to go. Class act all the way.

League appointed mouthpiece after Marbs storms out: Say Donnie, nice time piece. Where'd you get that one?

Walsh: it was a gift for 20 years of service with Indianna

What was the t-shirt he was wearing?

It was red with a starburry logo

Guy is unreal
I just hope that people will like me

this guy seriously can't stand not being at the center of controversy... the best way to deal w/him is to send him home & to stop talking about him if you're Knicks management... the less of the spotlight this loser gets, the more he suffers... to hell w/Marbs... there's no way in hell u can let this loser play again & dictate the terms on this... let him cry & moan about how he's being treated all he wants... he deserves no respect.

That's what the Knicks are doing, but Marblehead has his boyfriend Berman to do the dirty work for him by publicizing Marblehead's every word...

... and take centerfold photos of him working out. Seriously - how creepy was THAT?

HI haters.....

We listen to MDA and Walsh ( who actually wanted bury on the roster) and saw steph sit there for 3 weeks on mute. Most of you are basing your opinion on marbs because of his past, then listen to guys like Q (MDA favorite) who right now is the only knick that seems to don't want him around. believe JC and curry were the other 2.

When you take this same scenario and put it into a regular 9 to 5 individual, there's no way you side with management on this issue. The guy should have been gone before the season started point blank, and if you didn't want any distractions you should give him his money. No one on any other sight that i have been on is taking management side on this except HATERS.

Look at the tinsley issue, or look at when Timmy was band from the bulls, how much press did that get. What makes this so bad ( and a flat out idiot could have saw this coming) is he's the most talented player on a so so roster, had this been rose, James, or curry t would have been no brain er. MDA f....up tried a half ass approach to try and resolve it, sought of like the 3 idiot car makers who rode into town on their jets to beg for money, then a week later ride into town in compact rentals and now you wants to believe your broke.

I said this two days ago. Marbury is not taking a dime less than what he is owed and is too stupid and stubborn to realize he is only hurting himself. Walsh should have just cut him 4 weeks ago when he was willing to give up $1 mill and was at least considering allowiing us to limit where he went.

That's great! Funny stuff!

This is what I think. One, Marbury has no agent! But he has rights and nothing to guide him on it. Two, I think it may be very, very possible this guy may end up staying with the Knicks through every bloody minute of the year. If he stays, then we may very well only get 23 wins again this year. And there goes my 40 win prediction down the drain.
I'll never trust this' team again.

I still don't understand why he's negotiating with the media. Does Berman make these decisions?

Berman's his agent.

He wants to show he still has control over the Knicks, in which he is so wrong...

Are you sure' because he sure is putting us all through hell!
I'll never trust this' team again.

Well said Joe, you can't possibly argue with any of the points you made here. I want Marbury gone ASAP. Really can't come soon enough. Only thing though - Walsh and D'Antoni really never handled this correctly. They told him to go home and come back in the best shape of his life. He appeared to do so. Then D'Antoni plays the guy in every pre-season game, even starting him one of those games - never even hinting at what was to come. Then all of a sudden, he doesn't even play the guy at all once the season starts. Not trying to make excuses, he's a clown and I can't wait to be rid of him, but he really kind of got jerked here a little bit. This is a guy who's healthy and playing for perhaps his last contract. I'd probably be a little miffed too to be honest. Still, they tell you to suit up and play, you suit up and get your ass out there. No excuses. If he was a more likeable character his teammates and fans probably would've rallied around him -- but he's not and no one really cares about the guy anymore. That's it in a nutshell...

Let him sit. Fine him for comments made to the media if it violates his contract or club policy. Cut off Berman from press coverage of the team if he does not agree to stop being Marbury's sounding board. If he approaches Walsh again about a buyout I think Walsh should tell him that he is not willing to negotiate with him but would negotiate with someone representing him. Cut him after playoff rosters are set.

While I agree that the whole benching situation caught everyone by surprise, I think Mike had to make a decision. No one wanted to play with Marbury. He is catching the heat for helping the team come together, imo.

It's so hard to think that one can sit at home and collect 200k for each game missed and rot. He should just look at it as paid vacation, which is exactly what it is. He is an attention hog, so this will not go away until he is gone and even then it will still be a topic of discussion. So part of me wants him gone and part of me wants him to keep talking so that he black lists himself in the nba.

From what I been reading everywhere, Marbury is not the one who is blacklisting himself. It seems that he is gaining supporters from every team, even rivals are now coming out to support and take shots at D'Antoni and Walsh. Good luck in 2010 with that.

Yeah, D'Antoni, one of the most popular coaches in the NBA (according to player surveys), is going to be blacklisted because of the way he's handling one of the most notorious headcases in the history of sports. Sure.

Not likely. They love his style. His handling of Marbury might hold him higher in other players esteem. Its not like Stephon is the most liked player in the league.

Sam Cassell's support is worth a lot. I would think that most players just think this kind of press is bad for the sport generally. It simply needs to get settled and taken out of the spotlight. Time to move on.
