f#$@cking years, I am happy we cleared cap cause we werent going anywhere anyway, but 2 years without basketball is gonna be tough.

i forgot what having a good team felt like anyway... another 2 years isn't gonna kill me as long as i see this team building up the right way towards being competitive again.

What the Knicks have to do over the next two years is be able to find a solid supporting cast to go around 1 or 2 potential FA.

a few things
a. I'll go back to what Donnie Walsh said--we cannot blow these drafts---I cannot accept the risk of ANY foreign player taken by us next year--I dont care what his name is unless its round 2. Too much risk associated with it. IF there is any chance for us to get a quality big we need the player over a same value small. There was very POOR POOR strategic planning in this draft--they fixated on one player and today we sit with a huge whole in the middle that isnt going to be easy to fill with all of the %s that came out last year.

b. We have to be more opportunistic like we were in 1991 when we found Mason and Starks---that is why I hated the roberson signing. I don't mind using second round picks to acquire players sitting on someone's bench and if players get let go--we have to willing to make roster moves for the right player. We need to really study the D league and be prepared for any opportunity if a young player is waived via trade numbers etc... we need to give some opportunity to players who havent been in the right place at the right time. These are cost-control type players and if we never did that with Mason and Starks we wouldve never had such success. We have 90 people in the scouting DEPT--we fixate too much on individual players--open your minds and lets find a player or two who can be given opportunity to help the club.


We have to make decisions with david Lee and Nate--we CANNOT afford these guys to walk under ANY circumstance and we are playing a risk game with RFA with them--teams tend to always overpay in FA and we would take a MASSIVE step backwards if we lose these players without reasonable and solid compensation. It would be back breaking


Even in a best case scenari where we got Lebron James and either Bosh or Amare you still need a team to go around them


For my money I put Wilson Chandler at the 2 guard and let him develop there.

Was Lee tired last night, cuz he looked REALLY bad. Sure he got to the rim a few times, but his defense was non esistant. He would be a bench player on any other decent team. Trade him PLEEAASE. Keep Nate, trade Lee.

David was tired in the second half because he with Wilson were the only players that kept it from being a 50 point lead before halftime. You can see he labors a bit with his ankle wit to much PT but he has been a consistent 15 and 12 60% since Zach left[the only consistent player on the team] He's playing hurt and playing big minutes. He's not the best defensive player but he is assigned to playing guys 3-5 inches taller and 20-40 pounds heavier nightly.
