Why do you make posts without sources? Can't you at least provide where you get your info from instead of people have to search where the hell you found your info?

Ive been posting here for a long time--I don't make sht up.

Posting here for a long time doesn't make you a good poster, also posting 10K times doesn't make you a good poster, what makes a good poster is to backup your posts with facts or links, not to leave things up in the air for other to figure out. Back your posts up or don't post at all, or is this how you pad your post count?.

I don't know but respecting people who have been here 6 years longer than you would be a good idea. If you were here for 6 years you would know I don't fool around.

This is the case of taking a quote out of context or give it the context you want. As far as those reports say, the Knicks are still evaluating Mobley before saying anything definite. It seems that Walsh didn't want the deal to fall off so he waived the physical but is unsure about his health. But making this look like he will never play for the Knicks at this point is not an option. That last quote doesn't imply that Walsh thinks he won't play ever, but that the Knicks will keep investigating this and at some point will have a definite answer.

Here is the entire article Briggs refrenced. Lets hope Cuttino is ok.

ESPN

Knicks not worried about Mobley's heart issue, finalize trade
By J.A. Adande

The New York Knicks, apparently satisfied that Cuttino Mobley's heart condition would not be an issue, have finalized the trade that will send Zach Randolph and Mardy Collins to the Los Angeles Clippers in exchange for Mobley and Tim Thomas.

Mobley

New York waived the physical requirement so the deal could be finalized.

Thomas was expected to be in uniform Tuesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Knicks team president Donnie Walsh said that Mobley likely will miss the rest of the week. The guard will undergo further tests that likely can't be scheduled until after the holiday.

"We are taking the right precautions so everything is all right," Walsh said.

Walsh added he didn't know if Mobley would ever play for the Knicks. Coach Mike D'Antoni said before the game he was "anxious" about Mobley's status, but didn't have much other information.

The New York media and fans can now resume their full-fledged romancing of LeBron James, starting with James' visit Tuesday to Madison Square Garden with the Cavaliers.

By moving the remaining years on Randolph's contract, on the heels of last week's trade that sent Jamal Crawford to the Golden State Warriors, the Knicks have cleared $27.4 million in salary-cap space, enough for them to make a run at James and another member of the alluring 2010 free-agent class that is expected to include Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and Amare Stoudemire.

The Knicks-Clippers trade was originally made last Friday. Normally players have 48 hours to report to their new teams and take physical examinations, followed by an additional 24 hours to get all the results of the physicals. In this case, because the trade was made after business hours Friday, the teams agreed to an additional 24 hours, which made the deadline 6:30 p.m. ET Monday.

On Monday the problems with Mobley surfaced on the Knicks' end, keeping them from signing off on the deal and preventing Randolph and Collins from playing in the Clippers' game against the New Orleans Hornets on Monday night. One source said the Knicks were also having "buyer's remorse," wondering if they could have received more in exchange for Randolph, but in the end they accomplished their primary objective: getting contracts that expire in 2010.

J.A. Adande is a columnist for ESPN.com. Information from 1050 ESPN New York's Andrew Marchand and The Associated Press was used in this report.

How is this taking anything out of context? It's his exact words. He doesn't know if Mobley will EVER play for the Knicks. Watch ESPN tomorrow and see if it's out of context.

A bigger story should be the that thing that Al Harrington calls a head.

IT looks like a bike helmet with skin over it. Every plate on his head is visable.

He might have the worst looking head ever. He should grow hair, and if he can't, let him wear a hat.

I wish Mobley good health but if he can't play due to a heart condition, don't you all realize that we will be granted either a medical exception or something similar by the league. I'm not that familiar with the league rules regarding medical retirement. But, theoretically, we can see both him and Jerome off the books, at least in part.

The fact that we accepted him injured will not get us any exemption. Anyway, the important thing is that his heart is okay and that he is healthy. Hopefully it's nothing serious.

I hope he is ok, but as far as it's effect on the Knicks record, I'm beginning to think that while the first purpose of these trades was to improve our cap for 2010, the second purpose was to get us a good lottery pick in June.

We should have gotten more for Zach. I still believe that and will continue to believe that. The dude was playing at an all-star level and is only like 26-27. But it is water under the bridge now. Let's hope some solid FAs decide to sign here over the next 2 years.

Are you quoting a rule or is that your opinion based on morals (Not being smart)? For example, lets say that further tests by LA showed he did have a heart defect and they didn't want to risk playing him. Would they not be allowed a medical exemption? And if so, would that not valid with us as well.

I'm wondering, what is the rule regarding this?

Briggs you post the article so people can decide for themselves. I've been here longer than any one and I post links. It's the right thing to do.

The ESPN article didn't have a direct quote from Walsh. Did the writer get it wrong? Misinterpret?

The quote from the NYPost shows a different interpretation.

Asked if Mobley may not play this season, Walsh alarmingly said, "I don't know that. We're taking the right precautions."

I can see how someone could take what Walsh said and turn it into something he didn't actually mean.

That's why D'Antoni keeps saying they want to make the playoffs. That's why some people (including myself) feel the team got better.

I'm sure the context had to do with his heart, not the fact that the Knicks are tanking. Their draft pick will be from the 10 to 15 area.

These trades did not make the Knicks better much much much worse for this year and next. Beyond that--who knows ---I would say to go at it like this and Ive never seen a team play for cap two years down the road --without our 6 pick even showing he can play NBA basketball---I don't know. Why would these great players like Lebron leave great teams to walk into a disaster? We will have no assembled team if we renounce everyone and we have no one that is that good anyway.

I have to disagree. Jamal Crawford and Zach Randolph are being overvalued by SOME posters here. We were LUCKY to get the deals we did. We are a BETTER team to get rid of career LOSERS like Jamal and Zach. They always put up great numbers, always on losing teams. How much came out last year about Portland playing better because Zach Randolph was gone? Wasn't it JiM Paxon who said no team will EVER win with Jamal Crawford on it?

Cap space is AMAZING. Our #6 pick hasnt played a game yet so you can't say he hasn't shown anything. Why would a player walk into the biggest stage in the world for basketball with the ability to add another all star player, and play in a system that has proven it can win and make everyone look great? Gee, I don't know why BRIGGS. I also don't think it will be this disaster you think it will be. It will be in FAR better shape then having two losers like Jamal and Zach on our team.
