I dont want to have to bring back Zach now after all this, ****... Donnie will waive the deal

It wouldn't make any sense to bring him back. Zach is obviously better than Mobley and if he sends him back, then he will be going against the reason why he did it in the first place. Cap space!

(hey' that rhymes!)

So in other words, if he wanted real quality, then he would have kept Zach to begin with. So it's not getting reversed if logic stands to reason.

Walsh knows this but he is probably trying to get something out of LAC or see if Mavs will outbid and steal Randolph from LAC.

ah-hah! The old noodle is working overtime huh? Hope he doesn't lost this deal, because LAC can also back out right?
I'll never trust this' team again.

Couple of questions -

(1) Anyone confirm that it was drugs for sure?

(2) What exactly was Dallas offering? Anyone know?

Zach & D Lee for Stack, Josh Howard & a 1st round pick

Can't believe we are back with the Mavs scenarios. Hahaha, crazy. (Not against you, just the fact that it isn't done yet.)

i think i'd actually much prefer that deal to the one Donnie made w/LA... i don't want any part of Fugazy Tiny Tim... Stack & Josh Howard are better players on the whole than TT & Mobley, & if we can get that 1st rounder off them for D Lee it would kill 2 birds w/1 stone.

^That's not up do to date- check out Aldridge's article which I linked on the last page.

Yeah, thanks. Im just searching around to see if I can find more on the issue. It does have some interesting quotes, though.

Who wouldn't? But at this point everything is speculation. Not even The Post, Daily News, Newsday etc. have mentioned this. I do imagine Donnie is working hard to see if he can get an insurance for waving the physical, like a pic. Dallas just surfaces to put more pressure on LA, but I read that if nothing else happens Donnie can just waive it and its ok.

I DO WONDER WHY MOBLEY FAILED...

Clips are 2 wins - 11 losses. They need to do something.....shake up their team. So the trade is important to them. Hopefully they will add a draft pick.

Their first rounder would be top 3 at this point. They'd be loathe to give that up. Maybe a future first. Or maybe we'll just get a 2nd (not a bad pick as it will be high in that round).

I don't know why people are getting on Donnie's case about this, it's not his fault their is a problem with a physical, for all we know LAC screwed up, since I don't see Donnie trying to pull a fast one to get a pick out of LAC, let's just see what happens. If Donnie wants to sign off on it, then fine, let him do it, but if he doesn't then let him figure something out, I have no doubt Donnie will work things out.

At 2-11 I just don't see them doing that. There going to need everything they can possibly get and taking the contract off of our hands? We should be thanking them and the Warriors for doing that.

They can protect it at least for the next two seasons, making this one protected and next year's not.

Harrington practices, Mobley and Thomas have to wait (UPDATED)

You couldn't knock the smile off Al Harrington's face even if you said the word Nellie. The former Warrior participated in his first practice with the Knicks on Monday afternoon. Mike D'Antoni had him playing with David Lee down low among the other starters. Wilson Chandler was back on the B-squad, but D'Antoni wasn't committing to anything yet.

As for the other two new pieces brought in from Friday's trading day -- Cuttino Mobley and Tim Thomas -- they watched some practice but were not permitted yet to participate because the paperwork from the Clippers trade hadn't been completed yet as of 3 p.m., when the Knicks began.

UPDATED (11:46 p.m.) - Just filed a story for the print edition. TNT's David Aldridge has a story up on NBA.com saying Mobley failed his physical and that's what's holding up the deal. I heard from a source Monday night that confirmed this report.

The Knicks can -- and likely will -- waive the physical just to get this thing done and avoid taking back Zach Randolph's big contract. But in the meantime, they'll wait until tomorrow just so Mike Dunleavy can't use Z-Bo against the New Orleans Hornets.

Mobley has had no prior known physical issue. He played in all 11 games with the Clippers this season and averaged 33.5 minutes per game.

Who cares, accept him as damaged goods.

I don't care if he's on Meth, has 5 clogged arteries, a tumor the size of a cantaloupe, 2 torn ACL's and a glass eye. Seal the freaking deal.

good to have you back bud

Mobley had a heart problem about 8-10 years ago that was once sort of an issue, but that sort of dissapeared.

This blows. If this is a heart problem with Mobley, I would veto the trade and see what I can work with Dallas. If it's just a little old nagger, I'd waive the physical and go through it.

Zach and Dunleavy are pissed over this. And Zach apparently thinks he's better than Elton Brand. See link:

It's actually kind funny that's it Mobley that failed the physical, when Harrington was the one that was out due to a "back injury", I guess a move to NY for Harrington cleared that issue up real fast. LOL
Anyways I am sure this will all work out in the AM, just gotta wait and see.
