I don't know if this has been posted yet, but here's Steven A talking about the possibility of Lebron and another star (he said Wade, Amare specifically) teaming up in NY.

Let's hope

Thank God for Stephen A. Smith......the guy is obnoxious but when he is speaking the truth....and in our case the beautiful truth....he sounds like an angel, lmao!!!!

He has a point with the whole Wade and Lebron thing.....Cuttino will be gone so Wade will have a spot to play. Mike D'antoni and Coach K like Lebron as a power fwd in the olympics so don't even sleep on that **** right there fellas.....

Check it Ali G style:
PF: Lebron!!!
SF: wilson???
C: Gallinari???
PG: Steve Nash
SG: Wade????

Looks good on paper....With Nash there running this offense with this group??? Would anybody even dribble??? it's gonna be the 69-70 Knicks again...fast breaking without the ball touching the ground. Who's gonna rebound or play defense? Well these guys are capable of being dominant together but who cares?....they will average 150pts per game!!!!

Mmmmwwwahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahhahahahahaahhahahaaaaaa!!!!!!!

In the report I saw, Jalen Rose acually said "I have several credible sources that claim that Chris Bosh and Lebron James plan on joining the NY Knicks together in the summer of 2010". Sure that doesn't mean anything, but that's what he said.

Not be a doomsayer, but really, why is Lebron leaving Cleveland. They just upgraded their roster with Mo Williams and look like they have a damn good chance of winning a championship. Assuming they can win one before 2010, why would LeBron leave. The Knicks are going to have Chandler, DG, Nate, and maybe Lee, plus whoever we pick up in 2009. While that is some talent, that really is not enough talent to entice Lebron from a team that won a championship. We just traded a 20/10 scorer, who was playing the best basketball of his career, for essentially nothing. No draft picks, no young prospects, nothing. This seems an awful like the Orlando plan about 9 years ago, when they thought they would get Tim Duncan and it did not work. If we miss out on LeBron we are going to have to overpay to get some free agents in. Walsh is really putting all his eggs in one basket at this point and he is not even acquiring draft picks as a backup plan. BAsically, what bothers me the most about these moves is that no draft picks were involved. Even if we only picked up second rounders, that would have been something we could have parlayed into maybe a better spot in the draft.

1. He's leaving Cleveland because he wants to be the biggest star in the world, and that happens in NYC. Even players around the league think it's going to happen. David Stern wants it. Madison Ave wants it. Lebron James wants it. And he's a Yankees fan.

2. Zach Randolph is a LOSER. Always has been, always will be. That's why we got him for Channing Frye. Thats why we couldn't GIVE him away last summer. That's why the Clippers wanted a 1st rounder to take on his contract. That's why Milwaukee refused to trade garbage for him.

3. All the eggs are being PUT INTO A BASKET, for once. Before Friday we didn't have a pot to piss in. Randolph and Crawford are born losers. When's the last time these GREAT 20/10 and amazing scorers made the playoffs?

4. 2nd rounders? Really? Cause everyone is looking to trade the #5 pick for the #13 and a 2nd rounder. That happens ALL the time. Oh wait, that NEVER happens. No offense but 90% of the time a 2nd rounder is meaningless. If you look over the years almost just as many undrafted players have become as successful as 2nd rounders.

Second rounders are not "meaningless." Miami got Chalmers for a second rounder. Those picks matter and IT was far too willingly to give them away. Look, I am not saying this was a bad move. I am just saying that we were in the drivers seat a little and failed to get the most for what we gave up. Is it the end of the world, no, because cap flexibility is cap flexibility, which was the most important aspect of these moves.

In the driver's seat? I don't think so. The Clippers were about to move on from trading Zach that day, thats why at first it was reported the deal wasn't gonna happen but Walsh came back to give it a go. And the Warriors trade, while Al had demanded a trade, he hadn't made public his desire to play for the Knicks so he wasn't forcing anything and the Warriors could just keep him there until another trade proposition surfaced. Thats not being in the driver's seat. All that Crawford's and Randolph's great play did was allow us to deal fairly. Im with you that I hoped to get draft picks or prospects, but if it had been possible I believe Walsh would've gotten them. It would've probably be a deal breaker and at that point he had to make the deals.

There is still time, though, to get those picks and prospects so stay tuned.

btw, Olney's blog in Insider includes a tidbit about how Lebron & CC have become good friends over the years in CLE... & we all know Lebron's a huge Yankees fan.

hopefully CC accepts the Yankees' offer already so we can add that notch to the get Lebron to NY campaign.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

I hope so, but CC is taking too much time to sign this deal when he has only a few offers out there. Of course, its his right to test the market before accepting anything, but would like to hear anything from him at this point.
