This deal is so unbelievable that it has a negative percentage of happening.

Marion is washed up and he hates D'Antoni. Why would we want this deal? Throw in the fact that even a washed up Marion is 10 times the player Curry is and the Heat would never do it and then throw in the fact that Marion's contract is shorter than Curry's bloated contract and you have the recipe for a deal that would never happen in a million years.

A good way to determine if a rumor is bogus: Is one team giving up a far better player who ALSO has a far better contract? If yes, rumor is likely bogus.

Man this is where a search function would help but Riley was one of the biggest supporters of the Knicks getting Curry. As I recall it sparked a nice debate on this forum about Riley complementing Isiah and taking Brown to task for not getting the most out of 05-06 team.

Marion for Curry, Lee, and Rose works, and I think Lee would have to be included for the Heat to say yes. ANd, yes, I'd make that deal. Curry's contract gets cleared and the Knicks get to take a flyer on Marion. If he doesn't work, that's a lot of cap space. If he does, he'd probably okay a 3/4 year, $10 mil per deal. I don't think he'd get it elsewhere and obviously he's a Mike D player. So, I'd include Lee for a chance at Marion

I love it when people say things like "there's no way in hell (insert the name) wants to deal for (insert the player)" and then are shocked when real trades happen and look more lopsided or seems horrible for one of the teams involved. Don't get me wrong, I know these ideas seem crazy, but trades like that happen every time.

That specific trade may not happen, but I do think Eddy can be traded and that teams do have interest in him.

or when the exact trade happens but with another team and then you see complaints about how dumb Donnie is....I'm guilty!!!

Seriously, I'm not a big Eddy Curry fan, there are a lot of holes in his game.
But I don't think he's as overpaid as a lot of you are making out to be.
A legit 7' center that can score 20pts a game is a rare thing, and I'm sure
somebody will want him. He can be traded, and I don't think it's so far fetched
that Riley would.

can u point out a for instance cuz i don't remember a time that actually happened... u mean the lopsided trade that brought Zach to NY & how it destroyed the Portland Trailblazers' franchise? or the one that landed the Lakers Pau Gasol & how MEM only got garbage like his brother back in return?

You don't want to add a player like Lee to get rid of Curry. Marion is an older player - not part of the Knicks future. The team needs to focus on building a nucleus of young players. Including Lee in a trade for Marion is not the right direction for this team to go.

I agree his contract is actually pretty good if you consider his size and stats but if you actually see his game you'd think twice before picking him up.

His 20 pt avg is the most softest 20 pts avg i have seen in a long time. It involves force feeding him in the post, taking away any fluidity we had on offense. On good days he goes off, bad days gets into foul trouble and sulks from the bench. His 20 points is seriously not worth the trouble considering the negative effect it has on overall team play. We're not the only ones to see that, i think most teams wont even touch him and his sub-par conditioning of late just seals that.
