Playing Marbury would be pretty pointless. Whatever minutes you'd give him if Crawford, Nate or Duhon went down could easily go to Mardy or Roberson and if not, since D'Antoni likes shorter rotations, he could just move Q to the 2 and so on.

Marbury's desire to prove a point is only backfiring on him. It's not like the Knicks said they wouldn't pay him. They're willing to let him go out, find a taker and then pay him up to the penny of the difference. But the jackass won't hire an agent and what GM or owner wants to have a business conversation with Marbury or Berman for that matter? I don't think he understands that the Knicks' way, he'd make the same exact amount of money playing somewhere else as he would sitting on the bench in NY.

Meanwhile, he's wasting time because if he's not signed by January, he's pretty worthless to any new team since we all know he's not exactly quick on the uptake. As jealous as Steph has always been of AI, he could learn a thing from him. AI basically said, if you're going to make a move, make it now so that the adjustment period is over before the new year. Then again, AI also isn't a half-wit so his expiring actually had value.

I think Steph's ego gets in the way of any sensibilities that he has left

it's a pretty big leap to suggest that Steph has any sensibilities.

The reason marbury should play is because he can help us win. Coach d says he won't play marbury because he wants to play guys that will be knicks future. Do you really believe roberson will even be in the nba next year? The guy stinks he is not the knicks future. Mardy Collins is ok but he will never play more than 10 min a game. Steph could come in and help us win. When JJ comes back with marb playing the knicks are ascary team. Why does Dantoni suit up a hurt curry who cant play over a healthy Steph it just doesn't make sense. I am not buying steph doesn't deserve small min cause he veteran. We are paying him 22 mil, play the guy. They are just trying to humiliate the him into a buyout. This only hurts us the fans and honestly is dumb. i am a Steph fan and am ready to move on without him but he can help us win so just play the guy.

I'm willing to bet that the rest of the team skewered Marbs in the summer meetings with D'antoni and Walsh.

Does Marb realize that he has literally wasted 2 of the last 3 years of his career? Why not accept a buyout and go some where else instead of wasting another one? Does he think he's still 25 and in his prime?
