Balkman 16 and 7 tonight

yeah, he's the Nuggets top reserve these days.

i really would have wanted to see what he looked like in this system. he can handle the ball and his shot was mediocre, but it seemed like he could work on it. and of course, he's non-stop energy.

He doesnt matter. He's an energy filled, hustle player that can impact a really good team. He's too unskilled to be an important cog or anything. We need elite players.

yea, i've been catching a lot of ariza out here in so cal, dude is an absolute stud. will be a key member of the lakers this year without a doubt. so much energy, good D, plays everywhere.

the balkman deal surprised me only b/c i think renaldo would've been great in this system, but iguess everybody is great in this system.

Ariza a stud ? I'm not too sure about that. To me, studs are guys like Bayless, Westbrook, Rose, etc.

Right now Ariza is sixth man of the year through the first 6 games. He has 1st team all NBA defender type skills and remarkably improved with his offense. Last night he was the true impact player on the Lakers out of all of them. He came in and changed the game the Lakers were losing by double digits.

in Knicks' fans case, it's living in the land of "What never was & never will be"... we need to go see the Wizard & fix this sheit.

we have no need for energy filled hustle players on this roster when we have "dead eye shooter" Roberson who can't even knock down a perimeter J & contributes absolutely nothing at all on the floor.

good luck Balkman and Ariza ... you weren't gonna help us anyway.

Has anyone seen Ariza play this year? He would be starting for this team with ease. His jumpshot is 20 times better than when he was here.

Chandler gives us everything Ariza could have given us...AND MORE

Ariza has been actually better than Chandler

Trevor Ariza

Wilson Chandler

Of course, between the two I grab Balky in a heart beat. Roberson's trash. Im just talking about the grand scheme of things.

bro, i think we all know we need elite players... i don't think that's what the point of the thread is tho... just seems like Balk could have at least provided some positive contribution to the team this year, moreso than what Roberson's given us at the very least.

The problem with Balkman was never oncourt production. I think the front office had a big problem with some of Balkmans offcourt "issues"

probably that's the likely reason... i don't have a huge problem w/Balkman being traded as much as i have the fact that a guy like Roberson has taken his place... i'd like to see a kid like Patrick Ewing Jr. get a shot w/that roster spot.

The two times I've seen him play this year, yup, he's looked great. Real D, nice moves to the basket, lots of energy. I suspect he'd start on a lot of teams, the Knicks, for one. I can't see him becoming a star (other than, perhaps, a 6th man award this year) but, barring injury, he's going to have a productive career.
