Lee's fine. He's a solid role player that is playing out of position. I have no problem with the effort he gives and love the hustle. Not everyone can be a star. There are plenty of guys that are better than Lee at his role but who cares. Unless they are on our team, who cares. the guy is not part of our worries.

He's white?

Oh boy....... he went there.

Lee is a very good bench player, and if you have a Howard, Yao or Amare on your team he is a player you can't live without. If you have one of those other centers in the league that aren't a great blend of offensive, defensive, Size and speed................ you are screwed.

Lee is not the player who can dictate his game.
We do not have one since Steph and Eddy are out from rotation.
And Mike D has no interest to have such players (see his problems with Amare).
Mike need instruments (see Nesh who is great coach instrument) to master the team play.
And Lee is an excellent instrument. May be best coach can find at forward position.
If we want to support Mikes system we have to support having DLee-like players on this team.
If you guys want to have star-power we need another coach (like Zen Master or Nelli).
But we have Mike so let’s run with him.

Stop trying to end every argument. The Knicks are winning and we need something to fight about before the other shoe drops.

He's slow, plays poor defense, has no mid range shot, can't hit the three, can't attack the basket (the two times he tried last night he was so slow/awkward an un-coordinated that he outran his own feet), and the only reason he gets rebounds is because he leaves his man to open/unchallenged to run to the basket and box out. Yes, he can handle the ball, but so can everyone else.

So what is it about him that everyone likes? He doesn't have any natural talent and doesn't even have average physical ability....he is a good team player and has a great work ethic.

So what is it about him that makes him popular and the guy other teams ask about?

Good team player
Has great work ethic

You already answered it. People been out to get this guy since he came to NY and I never understood why. It's not about his ability to be a star or anything like that. He is capable of putting up some numbers, but it is his presence. The respect he gets from his teammates and what it stands for. A coach like D'Antoni can definately use a role model like that. A guy like D'Antoni can convince others to be good role models with a guy like Lee.

It's the same with Malik. A number of posters here have over a number of times said that he to is a role model. But I think more of a tough guy role model. Know who I'd like to have back to teach these guys how to be tough? Oak Tree!
I'll never trust this' team again.

David Lee has bene severely overrated here for 3 years, and now some guys are underating him. Now both things are happening in the same thread.

The same guy who thought Frye was a better pick then Bynum. Ha!

That's all you got? Good luck bro! And you did try to make that point about Bynum. I remember the thread I posted and you were all over it. You probably just don't remember it. Of course I can't prove it, because it's gone.

Lee has an excuse but Zach has no excuse?

The only center David Lee is playing is jumping the ball. Oh yeah, as of right now, well 2 games........DAVID LEE HAS BEEN COMING OF THE BENCH!!!!!!.......so I ask any of you........what center is he playing? How come Zach doesn't have a problem dropping his usual numbers no matter who's guarding him?

Now I like David Lee but I'm groing tired of the excuses. Its not fair how everyone else has to be thrown under the bus but David Lee has EXCUSES!!!!!

You're right. It's time to throw Lee under the bus. It's his turn down there.
https:// It's not so hard.

That's NYKs style. My style is let somebody else knock him down and kick him one or 2 times after that, and then I chime in later on by kicking a lot more.

Bip, you're a jerk.
