Wilson Chandler/Gerald Wallace are kind of the same thing (obviously Wallace is that potential realized). Are you really willing to take on his long term bucks when you got someoen who's a good shot to replicate that kind of player?

That's a terrible trade. Why the **** would we do that? You trade Lee to get rid of a contract, not to just get more crap. That does nothing for us and Harrington is the forward version of Crawford. If it's Lee and Curry, I'd think hard about it.

harrington expires before 2010.

So does Q Rich and Lee

Why don't we just go for Wallace? He's better than Harrington.

5 year contract

Would you rather have G Wallace and Chandler or Lee and Chandler? I love Lee but Gwallace and Chandler at the 3-4 spots would be pretty sweet. Don't forget G Wallace brings the shot blocking which is a huge need of ours. we could trade Curry + ? for Gwallace and then trade Lee in a separate deal for something good.

1. wallace is overrated

2. wallace is injury prone

3. wallace has a 5 year deal

with harrington, he'll fit in with walsh's 'be competitive while still getting under the cap' plan.

I would like to fill the roster with athletic (in NBA terms) players that can run the floor, hit the open jump shot and hit the FT at the end of the game. I think people overlook the importance of FT% when picking players who "fit" in the system.

got this from a warriors fan
Bob Fitzgerald, the Warriors radio and TV guy, was just on the radio in the Bay Area talking a possible 3-way with GS getting Gerald Wallace, Knicks getting Harrington and Bobcats getting Lee and Curry.

I am not as high on Lee as other people on this site, but I would like to get a draft pick or a younger player if we are giving up Lee.

lee is a bench player, he's not some star or a guy who could be a star.

he's a guy who best serves off the bench playing 24 minutes.

That would be great, but I'd settle for mission one...getting under the cap for 2010. Shedding Curry gets us closer

I agree Ewing. You'd think we'd ask for someone like Antony Randolph or a draft pick, if we are going to give up Lee.

I would make that trade in a NY minute.

I don't think we should have to get anything else since we are giving the Warriors Curry's atrocious contract.

That's a good point. D'Antoni thinks of Chandler as a 4 who can play the 3, and Wallace is more of 3 who can play 4. I think they can play together. Neither one needs the ball, but both do good things with the ball when they have it. Getting Wallace would upgrade our d. But the salary is an important consideration. He does earn that kind of money - it's not star money, but good starter money which Wallace is. But if we are going to take a contract like that, then we need to lose a similar or greater contract in the trade.

Even still. I mean I would love to get Bellenelli or Randolph along with Harrington, but I think we should just be happy that someone is taking Curry off our hands. Maybe a 1st round pick is more likely?
