I find it hard to believe that Walsh cannot trade Curry. Size always sells in the NBA. There must be some team willing to offer us a late 1st rounder for him. Hell, I would take two second round picks for him right now just to be rid of him. He makes $10 mill, but if you run a slowed down half court offense and have solid defensive players around him, he can still be effective. Walsh get rid of Curry and Marbury and get us some more draft picks even if you have to add $3 mill to do it.

we are selling low... but I suspect Curry will play into shape and get moved. Or he will sit and rot.

Size is a commodity and he's young enough for some coach/gm to think they can get through to him.

I suspect he get packed with Nate for a pick/player/expiring deal. Same with Crawford/Lee

If size sells then we should have got Kobe for Big Snacks. Everyone know Donnie wants to dump players and you wont get close to equal value for any of them.

Okay so everything is going to be revamped. You will have Gallinari, Chandler, Robinson, and a late lottery pick for this year draft to build around. The lakers couldnt win with Kobe, Gasol, Odom and you expect to for a free agent to come and play with these three guys and win big.
I got tired of saying it over and over and over

The fact that the fans of this once proud franchise are putting their hopes on Lebron coming here two and a half years from now makes me sick. Its delusional to epic proportions.

I start to get tired of having to correct you by listing ALL of the two-way superstar FAs available in 2010 and 2011. Maybe we can share joy in each other's fatigue?

maybe that can still happen? Then we can shift our focus to Bosh and DWade in summer of 2010. Its not a matter of getting a star, rather a question of which one and how many.

For every one bigtime FA that leaves 15 stay. For every one team that does good with cap space there are 10 that couldnt do squat, unless you consider Corey Maggette and Eddie Robinson prize FAs. But we are NY so we will get Lebron and Wade to come and join Zach, Chandler the roster and Chris Duhon. I cant wait

u know what's even more sickening is the thought that somehow we're one day going to win w/o a franchise player to build around... at least building towards 2010 cap flexibility gives us some hope... what does continuing to add overpaid players w/a history of losing do for us other than what we've been doing for the past decade? i don't get the bitterness towards a plan to gain cap flexibility stems from? as if we're passing up the chance to land some studs to get there? who are these studs that we're getting w/our current assets in a trade if cap flexibility isn't the issue? just curious.

The difference between Zach and Eddy is day and night.

Zach loves to play ball. He loves to win. He loves to beat the guy he's playing against. He's skilled. He plays hard. He's in shape. He doesnt have a chisled body. Neither did Ewing. Zach is also not a nice guy. He's abrasive and self centered (and thats nice).

Eddy is a nice guy. He likes everyone. Everyone likes him. He doesnt work hard, doesnt play hard, isnt in shape and his skills are suspect.

Who are you going to win more games with?

By Dec people around here will be saying things like "Zach's play was the only thing that kept us in the game."

I met and had a beer with Z-Bo and I would disagree with some of things you said in your 1st paragraph. But the last sentence is spot on.
