when he was on the POR playoff team he played a minor role... when he became a mainstay in their offense the team took a steady decline... i think he's tremendously talented but like u said those stats just don't translate into wins for the teams he plays on for some reason... i dunno if it's the teams he's played on or the fact that he's just a stat padding type player, but that 20 & 10 label he gets placed on him is so misleading... he's not a true 20 & 10 guy... that would be someone like KG or Brand... plus those guys give u allstar calibre defense on the other end as well.

He's like Derrick Coleman. Great stats. Team is crap when he has those stats. Team is awesome when he leaves.

Reference: Charlotte Hornets and Philly Sixers.

It's just hard to understand but it exists.

I don't do this deal unless we can get Amir Johnson.

Give them Lee and Randolph for Johnson and Wallace

Trading Rasheed W for Zach would strictly be a salary dump. At this point in their careers Zach is a much better player. Rasheed is 34 yrs old; Zach is 27. Rasheed won't be able to run with this team.

Also, people are saying that Rasheed is a 20/10 guy. Well, he never has had a 20/10 season. His best season for rebounds is 8.2 and lifetime is 6.9. And he has never scored 20ppg. His best was 19.2 and 19.3, but that was 2000/01 and 2001/02 with Portland and he was 26 and 27 years old - 7 years ago and Zach's present age.

Rasheed's last 2 years he averaged 12.5 ppg.

Rasheed does have a remarkably good 3 pt shot - he hits 35%. Great for a big man. His natural position is really PF, not Center. And he has been pretty much injury free. But he is 34 yrs old.

Rasheed has more of a chip on his shoulder and more problems than Zach, and Zach has bought into D'A and the system. Taking Rasheed is a big step backwards, IMO. We should keep Zach for now and trade Curry.

Exactly. I read the above as Wallace is overrated.

He was quite good earlier in his career when he played around the basket but he doesn't do that anymore and hasn't for a long time.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!
