Posted by EnySpree: Damn Eny, I didn't know if many folks here might be into this kind of thing. In all fairness, I'd call this house, or deep house not techno. Great track, btw. I still throw this track on and it does usually get a very good response. Strictly Rhythm is a classic label. Forum Po Po and #33 for a reason...

many greats here...nice. TMS's pick of George Kranz - 'Din Daa Daa' is great... that track has one of the greatesst breakdown's even to this day, IMHO, Forum Po Po and #33 for a reason...

Posted by EnySpree: Couldn't tell which song this was because the video isn't there anymore Was it 'Gypsy Woman' or '100% Pure Love?' Gypsy Woman is far better. I don't even like '100% Pure Love.' Actually, I think the lyrics are pretty cool. I mean to make a song about a homeless woman for a house song is actually pretty dope. Although if we go back to funk, soul, reggae (black music, in general) we know there is a tradition of making conscious dance tracks. Hip-Hop of course has as well, although I tend to think there are fewer and fewer examples of it now as much of what people perceive hip-hop to be has become super-commercialized... but back to Crystal Waters... Here's another classic you may remember from NYC clubs back in the day as well, and still gets a response from a crowd... Forum Po Po and #33 for a reason...

I'm only posting this because my band does a cover of this song. This was def not my style growing up. Cakes is the freestyle lover. I was a metalhead through and through. PS: The band is playing Yonkers on Saturday opening for Warrior Soul. If you from that neck of the woods, come through and holla at some fellow Knicks fans -- http://myspace.com/doyouseethedark [Edited by - eViL on 10-23-2008 2:55 PM] check out my latest hip hop project: https://soundcloud.com/michaelcro http://youtu.be/scNXshrpyZo
