Ever basketball person says when dealing with Larry Brown you have to ignore him when it comes to personal decisions. There is no doubt that the Bobcats would be on the right track with Lopez and Oakfur, then drafting an average 5'10 point guard.

Give the coach what he wants and believe in him until your fire him or he retires.

But when the coach asks for Steve Francis, gets him and it blows up in our face, then all of a sudden the buck stops with the GM, right?

When it comes to Larry Brown you're like a McCain/Palin supporter, it doesn't matter what he says or does, you're behind him all the way!

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

The GM was finally proven wrong also and actually was laughed out of the coaching position, with the same identical record. And of course, Larry used the guys the GM got for him right?

Compaing Palin/McCain to Larry Brown is a cheap shot.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Larry Brown wanted Steve Francis? Says who? Isiah and Dolan? LOL.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Sez LB in a press conference with 1,000,000 reporters and cameras in the room. Ditto Jalen Rose. You have a better memory than most of these guys so I know you remember.

My friend is a Bobcats fan and follows them closely. He says Augustin is a very intelligent pg who has much greater court awareness than Felton. He was hoping to get the big guy on draft day, but now he's very happy with Augustin.

Does your "friend" have the initials "L.B."?

2. Larry Brown did not destroy the Knicks, Isiah Thomas did.

How is it possible to destroy that which is already destroyed? That is like saying the next president destroyed the economy. It may not have hit rock bottom yet but it is already well on its way. Similarly, the Knicks were already well on their way to the toilet when Isiah got here, and that is a fact.

By your analogy, if the next president doubles our national debt and the unemployment rate increases further, I'll be sure to remember that you said he's not to blame.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Frankly it's Bob Johnsons who is at fault here. He gave the keys to Jordan who really doesn't care about his job nor does he know anything about players which is unbelievable since he is the greatest player to ever live.

Kwame Brown was his guy he could have traded the pick for Elton Brand an established young 20pt 10rb big man, but you go with a high school kid?

He could have kept Rip Hamilton, but he wanted Stackhouse.

Then he comes to the Bobcats again possessing no knowledge of the game and it's players

Drafts Adam Morrison over Rudy Gay and Brandon Roy

He trades Brandon Wright who looks like he is going to be a very good player for Jason Richardson and his big contract, who adds a player and loses young talent if you are not making the playoffs (RJ TRADE of this offseason).

He trades expiring contracts for Nazr and his awful long term deal.

He takes a medicore undersized guard when they needed a center?

You have cap room now they have none and they are a 10 seed. The NBA is disgraceful with all the recycled hiring that takes place.

Can we just amend number 2 to:

2. Larry Brown did not destroy the Knicks, Isiah Thomas and Scott Layded did.

and then be done with it.

He did not destroy them, but he sure helped the process along. Unless he is working with a GM that will tell him to STFU and go coach, LB cannot be effective in this league anymore. He is too determined to play the GM role and is not good at it.
Trust the Process

I'm about to watch Trevor Ariza start at the SF spot for the title contending Lakers while Larry Brown watches from the sidelines. I must be disillusional.

ok everyone stfu!!!!! I have a trade idea!!!!!

Curry and Craw for Jason Richardson and Nazr Mohammed!!!!!!!

Cha-Ching, I'm the greatest poster in the history of Ultimatknicks.com!!!!!

Basically? This trade is Craw and Curry for Jason Richardson.....

This is a trade of Styles:

Craw needs to dribble and Larry Brown wants his players to pound it. Everyone says Craw played his best ball under Larry and Jordan loves Jamal's game from his Chicago days. Larry is probably ****ting himself at the lack of a post presence. Curry is that dude.....Okafor and Gerald Wallace can take care of the blocks and rebounds with no problem.

Jason Richardson doesn't wanna play tight like LArry wants. He excelled in Don Nelsons punishing up and down offense. D'antoni is doing basically the same thing. He'd fit in like he was a Knick all training camp

Do this trade for the love of GOD!!!!!

Saw this game tonight myself - man, what a brick-a-thon. Became hard to watch - a ton of turnovers & a lot of clinking and clanking the whole night long by both teams. I missed the very beginning - what was up with the Clippers playing at the Staples Center and the Lakers playing at the Honda Center? That was weird no? And what was with the taping the net to the rim - was the rim broken and did they not have a replacement???

I came away with two things watching this game:

(1) You can tell Larry has little patience with Ray Felton. "Raymond. RAYMOND, LOOK AT ME!!" he was screaming at him at one point. Not that Felton played awful, but I thought Augustin ran the club much better when he was out there as opposed to Felton. Guys were really getting the ball in the right spot when DJ was at the controls.

(2) Started thinking to myself: Vladimir Radmanovic vs. Danilio Gallinari - who's got the better game? Similar size, both around 6'10", maybe Vlad's a little stronger/heavier at this point. I think if we get this kid Gallo back healthy, he's got a good chance to be a similar player to Radmanovic only a lot better. Radmanovic is little more than a spot up shooter (always has been) - a player who plays a heck of a lot smaller than his height. Gallo, on the other hand, not only has the jumper with range, but unlike Vlad he also shows the nice passing ability and the ability to put it on the floor and get to the rim at will. You'll never see Radmanovic go coast to coast for a bucket the way Gallo can. The next time anyone out there thinks Gallo's got 'stiff legs' watch Radmanovic play then go back and look at tape of Gallinari for a compare & contrast - then tell me who has the stiff legs. Makes for an interesting comparison. When you look at tape of Gallinari then look at Radmanovic play, to me Gallo's the superior talent all the way.

Yes Solace, you be sure to do remember that because chances are that things are going to get a lot worse with our economy before they get better no matter who takes over.

When somebody inherits a situation that is already in the toilet, it is very difficult to simply arrest that process. Tings usually get worse before they get better.

Does that logic evade you?

Of course the analogy isn't perfect because the next president is not beholden to James Dolan, but it still holds up pretty well.

Now you be sure to remind me, thanks!
