This type of debate is horrible.
I hated the format too.

+1 on this debate being boring. Brokaw's building anger was the highlight for me anyway.

BTW, maybe I heard things and didn't bring it up but it looks like other people heard it too.... did McCain (besides saying "my friends" 500 trillion times) really call Obama "that one"?

BORING
Quite right. We've seem enough of them to decide who to votefor. They keep repeating their ideas and mostly McCain personally attacking Obama on the same issues as the first debate. And Obama defending himself the same way.

This "debate" was a joke. There is nothing wrong with a town hall format, but it actually has to be run like a town hall meeting, where the audience is allowed to ask questions and grill the candidates. This was just a BS excuse to let the candidates speak their scripted talking points. Did either candidate actually answer a question? What a joke. I learned absolutely nothing other than niether candidate can answer a question or follow the rules.

To black dude in audience: "I'll bet you never even heard of Fanny and Freddie"

About Obama: "You know who did? That one."

I already posted on this and I think McPITA tried very hard not shake Obama's hand at the end. The guy doesn't even have basic mannerisms and does not undersand how to conduct himslef in public and he wants to be president of the US - some things never change and some people never learn

I think that why McCain took a shot at Brokaw. They both seem pissed at Brokaw which is so odd. It's the same talking points over and over. You don't learn anything new. That's why it should be two debates but the press and presidental debate committee need to get their names out.

One thing I am also beginning to see, is that American people are a little slow. I watching CNN and people still don't seem to get it. They want to hear more from the candidates but don't seem to understand that a debate is not where you hear long term discussions on talking points. I myself do my own research but I guess not everyone wants to spend time doing such.

One man in the CNN audience actually says he still doesn't know what "affordable healthcare" means by both candidates. To their credit they have used numbers to layout what their plans will incorporate. Dude check your pay stub, checking/saving accounts and portifolo. If you don't have any of those then you should already know what plan best benefits you. You don't need each candidate to do that for you.

Did you also catch that McCain called the second questioner the first questioner's name. First questioner is Alex and second ones is Oliver. Barack picked it up and immediately addressed the guy by his name.

his lack of tact and documented temper caught up with him on "that one." Remarkably stupid.

No doubt. He took a shot at Brokaw too when he was upset about the Treasury Secretary question as well. The funny part is that they are close friends. The Obama campaign was worried that Brokaw would be bias towards McCain but McCain managed to piss him off too. He has some serious rage issues.
