A point I just realized on the Stuck with Zach thread:
When Walsh realized he couldn't move Zach without including a first rounder, he should have gone with option B: Curry.
He sure doesn't save as much money in 2010, and he might opt out (please!), but he clears the roster log jam up front, and a starting line up of Zach & Lee with Chandler/Gallo/JJ2 as the back ups would be pretty mean with D'Antoni as the coach.
Teams may want to see how Eddy recovers from knee surgery before trading for him. I also don't think we'd save much money in that deal because Jaric makes about $7 mil in 2010.
I'm not saying to trade Curry for any of the same deals (Jaric) that were on the table for Zach.
But, might the clippers have given us a second rounder for Curry? maybe a conditional 1st/2nd rounder for him, based on performance?
