By the way- losing a superstar in football is much different than losing a superstar in basketball. 1 player represents a much larger percentage of the team in bball. It's not really a good comparison.

If you read any of his statements post the trade, its quite obvious he was jealous that the team was winning the title and he was basically left out.

There you are. It was evident he was "jealous" during the game as well. Like I said, just compare Peyton Manning's attitude during the game -- or yours and mine -- and you can see that we all cared more than he did.
But don't mistake lack of maturity for lack of desire. What you said before was flat out wrong.

You'll see as his career progresses. He's like Keyshawn Johnson.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

I agree, but losing Artest would be akin to losing Michael Strahan.

i don't think Keyshawn ever dogged it either on the field of play in his career... ur right, they may be very much alike... there really are no players u can compare Artest to in the NFL cuz no one's as crazy as that mofo... Pacman Jones is a headcase but he's a criminal... Ronnie's just plain insane.

maybe Brian Bozworth is the closest in terms of personality i can come up with to Ronnie boy... 1 viewed himself as a movie star & the other views himself as a rapper... both stunk at what they envisioned themselves as.

Okay, forget Artest. Who's better, Jeremy Shockey or Secretariat?

Will they still re-sign Carl Landry. That kid is a pretty good player but he may become redundant with Artest in the fold. He was really coming on during their winning streak.

Artest is one of the 15 best players in the league, this makes them the team to beat in the western conference. They can now bring Battier off the bench to guard the teams best player along with artest that is the best defensive combo in the entire NBA.

The Lakers are a good team, but if the Rockets stay healthy they have a center/pf combo that is very close with la when you factor in numbers and the supporting cast of the lakers is highly overated if you can take kobe out of the game which they will be able to do, they can do the same with manu, they are very scary.

And Shockey by the way is a bigger headache than Artest, the giants had to move him because on several occasion he got into with reese, and went nuts even when reese said that he was the number one tight end and a big part of the team going forward, behind the scenes a lot of people thought that he was not right mentally, and thought he would become a distraction and destroy team unity.

Showing up your qb every time you don't get the ball is childish and immature, he wants to win yes, but he can't stay on the field, drops balls, and picks up stupid personal fouls....

I don't see TMac, Artest co-existing, let alone those 2 + Battier.

Adding Ron-Ron to T-Mac and Yao gives you a potential wacky sit-com at least.

I guess Rockets can extend him, but would they want to?

Come playoff time with Ron crack up again?

If Artest could take it, I would think about bringing him off the bench.
