That would just be the lice.... In all seriousness, Mike D himself said Balkman was 5th string. His value in that position would have diminished, imo. As a whole the trade was Balk and half a mil for Roberson and a 2nd rounder.

don't include Roberson, he's a FA signing that coulda been had at any point during the year... scrubs like that get signed to 10 day type contracts all the time... & a 2nd rounder can be purchased before the draft every season... we dumped Balkman for absolutely nothing but a roster spot, let's face it.

I agree we did in essence basically got him out of here, and I'll do you one better and I'll say it was for absolutely nothing because we can cut a guy like Mardy and could have kept Balk. However, I have to have faith they dumped him for a reason. Be it bad work ethic(he has not improved at all), partying, weed, whatever. Mike D already said he didn't fit. He said he was down on the depth charts.

Coulda woulda shoulda we could have traded Frye for Odom the season before he was traded for Zach. We didn't he regressed and we got nailed.

well, all we can do is sit tight & see what develops... losing Balk isn't gonna be a huge black mark on Walsh's record but i do think he could have been used as an added asset in a future deal... ah well, what u gonna do.
