If it happens, then it should strictly be a dolan call and not a Donnie call. But if they get rid of someone else first, then most likely it's not gonna happen.

It's not exactly like they'd be saving money. They'd simply pay it throughout the season as opposed to upfront. Buy out Marbury for $15 M, let him sign for the MLE somewhere, and move on. The MLE dollars would be shaved off the cap and that's luxury dollars Dolan isn't paying. Seems like a win win.

Actually, after thinking about it on and off that last couple days, I like the above thoughts of just getting it over with and getting his ass out of here. I just didn't want Donnie to get hurt for the call, but I think he's made enough safe moves since he's gotten here, for dolan to do this one buyout.
Go for it! Throw suckbury out!

That really would make things much better come next season.
