My take
the realism of the nba is that it goes in cycles
you *have* to sck at some point if you want to be good again
I think for the most part a large majority of teams dont start the season with a hope of winning 15 games but there will always be 2-5 because this is how it works
the problem with the knicks is they had EVERY great opportunity to pick up 4-5 high draft picks over the last several scky years and we chose not to do it--alas we are still in the scky cycle and there is not one F thing we can do about it. Sorry chris duhon is not stsve nash hes not a pimple on steve nash touche.
I am very underwhelmed with what has gone on here since IT has gone
we chose a gm that honestly is a tad over the hill when we couldve used a young hungry GM like Portland and Seattle hired
We chose a coach who seemingly makes no sense for where we are with who we have
We set a course of action for FA in 2010 yet we already have the highest payroll of any team for that year
Our draft pick is questionable--not that I dont think he has a chance of being a good offensive NBA player 1 day but that I strongly believe that there was better direction at 6
chris duhon--who really cares even if he makes us 5 games better ?????????[which is questionable anyway]that's only worse---because we havent executed on the scky cycle

we still need to sck to get better--we forgot to do that
sorry about the pessimism but I still dont see it--understand it or agree with it
I think most Knick fans wouldve rather given Hasheem Thabeet a top 6 promise 3 months ago than anything that has gone on since to be honest.
Hasheem Thabeet>than anything we have done coach draft FA GM etc........ and the only way Hasheem was coming out was a top-heavy lottery promise. Now we will spend the whole year hoping we get into position to get him--oh wait--there will be some chinese G who we will get with pick 4
