Funny how some of you think the Clippers are obligated to take on Zach and his contract just because they lost a stud in Brand. That's because you're going strictly by stats. When Zach is outgoing on your trade scenarios, he's a solid 20 and 10 big man who can get the job done. But when he's incoming/staying, he's a thug who's 20 and 10 has less value than his parties in Indiana.

it's more that he actually makes sense for that team with Kaman and BDiddy. he makes no sense on this team, which almost everyone here has said from the moment he got here.

A 20 and 10 PF makes sense on any team unless that team already has a 20 and 10 PF/C with a better attitude. That's why I said you're only going by stats. The only thing people usually don't question Zach on are his numbers. That's why his value is incredibly low, making it a 99% chance that LA won't bite on this loser because they're willing to sacrifice his 20 and 10 for the overall condition of the locker room.

Now that Clippers lost out on Elton Brand, they can do this:



Clippers get Zack Randolph

Knicks get Tim Thomas




Clippers have cap space so salaries don't have to match.

Clippers get 20/10 guy to replace Brand, to give them lineup of Kaman, Randolph, Thornton, Mobley, and Davis. In process, get rid of Thomas salary.

Knicks get the all important Cap Space they need in 2010. Also, Tim Thomas played in and succeeded in D'Antoni's style in Phoenix, so Knicks could easily make use of him next two years.

I'd take on Tim Thomas again. He is such a waste, but he will hit a 3pt shot all day.....we know what he can do. He's way better that Q I tell you that right now. Better size and just as good of a defender. In fact I would waive Q immediately if Tim Thomas was picked up.

Tim thomas would excell under D'Antoni in NY.

I would bet this is where he would shine all yr to prove to everybody he has what it takes, it just depends on the style of play.
