As good as Baron Davis is, if he would have kept his weight down(10-15pds lighter) he would have been/be even better.

Isiah isn't the GM anymore, so he could make us respectable again by delegating the ball to everyone by commanding respect from his new teammates.

Have you ever seen him play in the rucker games against Newyorkers...he takes those matchups personally.

love some of the early clips: red shirt team against the other red shirt team. LOL.

please, if he comes here let it only be on a 2 year extension.

That's not even possible. It would be for the MLE or for a huge payday S&T. I can't see him playing here for the MLE.

on a MLE then hell yeah but he's not signing no MLE to come here... on a longterm S&T then please pass.

Exactly. Not to mention the fact that we'd have to give up assets in a sign and trade. Yuck.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

I'm surprised there is so much love for Baron Davis. He's a bit of chucker. 18.5 shots per game, and 6.5 of those shot are 3's. And further he only shoots 33% from downtown. I know the counter to that is that he's playing for Golden St, but those 3 point attempts are actually down from previous points in his career. He used to shoot about 8 3's per game back with the Hornets and never did better 35% or so from downtown. Here's a guy who would be a lot more efficient if he limited his 3's, because he certainly has the playmaking ability.

The last thing we need is to sign ANYBODY to a giant contract. I want to dump salary, play the young guys, and LOSE games next year! I want that #1 pick!

To draft who?

No one. So called Knick fans just love draft picks.

Why is that surprising? The majority of Knicks fans were in love with Stephon Marbury, up until last season. NY fans seem to really appreciate scoring point guards and I bet the majority of NY fans would say that point guard is the most important position. I'm in the minority in disagreeing with that sentiment.

Sure Baron is a Chucker, but he might be even better in the D'Antoni system than Nash. But he'll need to smarten up a tad.

I don't care, they should just get Davis here. This is about a show, not "winning". They need a big name, they need an engine for D'Antoni. We all know what they are trying to do, and I think Davis is the best player available taking that into consideration.

At least we'd get some freakin' excitement in the building.

Look at Arenas, they are talking about max money for him. Crazy.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Baron Davis is a serious head case and we need to rid ourselves of guys like that. I say we get rid of Steph, Zach first and then whoever doesnt want to ibuy in trade them

I'd take Odom, I think he needs to get away from Kobe to really excel again. He'd be a great fit as a PF in D'Antoni's system, since he can do some of everything.

Maybe the landscape has changed some but Carlisle spoke during his conference in that one of his main goals was to establish a relationship with Jason Kidd and the other veteran players. I don't see Dallas trading Kidd and to be honest he's a better fit for their team than Baron.

Excelled is that a joke. I don't know if there is a bigger underachiever in the league then Lamar Odom geez Kobe isn't his problem being a slacker is his problem.

That gimpy knee of his has me more concerned than a Rush Limbaugh presidency. Looks like that thing could shred at any second.

I couldnt take having such a question mark here for 5 + years. Unimaginable trepidation.

Best years are behind him, and he's looking to cash in on one last big payday. Naw.
