1.) The media does this to get under your skin. Make your blood boil and get you to buy the next paper to find out what else Isiah is doing. I want the guy gone from the organization but I expected articles like this anyway.

2.) You could root for a bball team for 30 years and not once hear the name of anyone doing any scouting. We on the other hand will hear Isiah's name every week.

3.) For years we crushed Isiah for never recruiting outside of Chicago and showing no interest in Europeans. Now we are giving him credit for drafting one?
I just hope that people will like me

Isiah does have a role. I think he had alot to do with the D'Antoni hire also. Dolan is a big Isiah guy. Isiah has his ear. I think Isiah still has a prominent role in the organization he is just behind the scenes. What I am worried about is when Walsh becomes semi retired and his boys Mike and Isiah take over the family business.

Other than complete speculation what real evidence do you have to support these claims?

So because he may have recommended Galinari he's the Wizard of Oz?

Was Galinari even our #1 choice? Doesn't sound like it, but we were at 6 and he may have been the next player on our list.

Isiah will take over the business? Where do you have any kind of evidence to even suggest that this is even remotely possible?

Is there some kind of information you are privy to that we are not being provided with?

Forum Po Po and #33 for a reason...

He scouted the guy to make sure we picked him as I said. Things haven't changed much here.

If IT says this guy can play, then I have to believe it. IT is notoriously hard on European players, so if he was willing to give this guy the nod, there is a decent chance he might turn into a solid NBA pro.

Or he could be just as dominant as Channing Frye who I SAY UGH said he would have picked first in the 2005 draft.

Isiah with out the worries of keeping his job is probably the best talent evaluator we had in a while.

How come the talent he's given this team hasn't produced wins?

isiah is a good drafter. i would have prefered randolph or alexander, but it's time to give the kid a chance.

Frye is not a European. My point was that IT is unlikely to give props to a euro player, so if he was willing to say this guy can play, he probably can. My only question with him is can he defend.

My point is you can't trust anything that comes out of his mouth but go ahead and run with this if it makes you feel better.

Furthermore, Isiah would have taken Eric Gordon.

he would have taken Randolph: skinny, run and jump guy who can't play.

Just saw Don Nelson, who was smoking cigars with his coaches and they had big smiles. I popped over and just asked him if he got his guy with Anthony Randolph. “That’s the guy I wanted,” Nelson said

"We feel he has star quality," Mullin said. "We were sitting there kind of amazed he was still there. The way he plays, his length, he can handle the ball. He's a 6-10 player (who) over time, can probably go up and down, 2, 3, and 4 (shooting guard, small forward and power forward). He can be a real nightmare-mismatch type of guy."

That is a pretty big ednorsement from Don Nelson[the guy who drafted dirk] and chris mullin who drafted gilbert arenas monta ellis andris Biendrins et al. Those endorsements are coming from superior talent evaluators to anyone associated with the Knicks. How many all stars has Kevin Wilson helped produce for the Knicks? Actually we havent had an all star in 10+ years and we have averaged 32 wins per season over the last 7 years.
He's a turnover machine. Watch him play some time.

"Star."

That was the one-word answer given by Golden State coach Don Nelson when asked about the future of Anthony Randolph, the slender power forward who a year ago was a 17-year-old wearing the cap-and-gown at Woodrow Wilson High School.

Wow I guess the warriors are not tempering expectations at all on randolph. Don Nelson and Chris mullin both said he was a star in the making. Did you read that doctors said he would be close to 7 feet when done growing? He certainly has something between a KG/Lamar odom type game especially if he is still growing.

Because his job was at stake, Ariza was the only freshmen we drafted and no high schoolers in 4 drafts???... He always made the safe pick as a knick GM/President.

Which out of the 8 tries he had, he couldn't make one of them stick besides maybe Lee. Sorry if your job is on the line he should have produced better results.

Lee(About to be traded)
Nate(Sideshow)
Chandler(might be the best prospect)
Balkman(Offered up in several trades)
Ariza(Traded)
Frye(Traded)
Dijon Thompson(I don't know what happened to this pick)
Nichols(Waived)
Collins(might be the worst pick of all time)

None of these guys have helped us win nor improved our situation. Instead we set historic lows during this time and safe picks generally produce better results than this.
