do you really think Lee told Memphis I am not going to sign if you trade for me. If MDA has been scouting the Italian since he was four that was the man they wanted the whole time everything else was a smoke screen. What really happened was Walsh had a trade with Miami for Beasley but Lee heard about it while eating a plantain sandwich in Miami called Pat and pulled the plug. Lee also shot JFK and is living with Elvis in White Plains. Trade Lee and play Danilo, Zach, and Eddy inside in this system and have fun watching

Can he get Elvis's autograph?

1) Lee was doing what was best for Lee. He's a young man who didn't want to live in Memphis. He used his leverage to get what he wanted. I'm sorry if anyone's offended by that, but if you are, just put yourself in his position.

2) The team was utterly stupid for letting it be known that Lee wasn't a good fit and that they were going to try to trade him. There's nothing more to be said about that.

Lee gets paid millions of dollars to play basketball. What do you think the chances are that he signs with us for less money so that he can stay in NY? If he really did that then he acted selfishly and I want him gone NOW.

Actually, he does NOT get paid millions at this point. I think this year might be the first year he gets paid a million.

OK, he gets paid a little under 2 million this year, and if he opts out, which you know he will, he'll get paid a lot more.

Lee has a right to say stuff like that though. It's that damn Grizzlies team that sucks so bad, that put themselves in the bad position. And supposedly, the rumor is false. Lee's agent is denying it.

Exactly - why do we all have a problem with Lee not liking memphis? What if Mayo came out and said he didnt want to play there - would people be upset about that?

What O.J. said he feels uncomfortable going to Minny because of the mgmt group up there and isn't sure about Mchale's vision?

I remember all we heard about Lee was he'd run through a brick wall for the Knicks. He's the only true Knick yada yada. Not now he's scum. Fickle as ever we are.

Even if the reports are true, and Lee did squash the deal, why couldnt we have re-adjusted the offer. Perhaps, Malik, Nate, and the 6 to move up one spot. Or Malik/Balkman and the 6.

In any event, I'm devastated over this draft. Mayo was there for the taking and we blew it for whatever reason, I'm not going to get into the who, what, where, why gossip game. Not grabbing Mayo is not even a debatable issue to me. I'm numb.

I hate to say that I think I've already soured on this management team. This is inexcusable.

I'm sure everyone knows this by now but I just read that piece that my friend pointed me towards. Looks like Walsh confirmed that it was 5th and the 6th that he was looking to have. I have to now believe the Lee part too. It hard for me not to be piss off at Lee now everytime I see Mayo score on the Knicks. Funny how most media outlets aren't giving Lee heat for this.

There was plenty of speculation during the week about the Knicks possibly looking to move up, but that rumor was shot down.

"I wasn't trying to do that," Walsh said. "I was trying to get another pick up there. I thought I was pretty close, but I don't know."
