Other guys in this league who are undersized or slight of build.

Tony Parker 6'2"(goes to the rim and gets in the paint whenever he wants to)
Steve Nash 6'2"(ditto except often times he dishes instead of swishes)
Jason Terry 6'3"(played a lot of 2 guard in Dallas especially during their championship run and last yr)
Mike Bibby 6'3"(isn't your prototypical point guard and plays combo style a lot)
Chris Paul 6'1"(on his way to being a league MVP)
Mo Williams 6'2"(this guy just signed a 6yr $52mil deal correct? NUFF CED)
T.J. Ford 6'1"(When he isn't falling on his Ass he's a good player)
Jameer Nelson 5'11"(Good enough player to be a starter on a young up and coming team who's made the playoffs 2 straight yrs)
Ben Gordon 6'3"(In the 4rth qrt you don't want this guy having opportunities 6th Man Of The Yr Winner)
Barbosa 6'3"(Speed kills and didn't Gordon have one of the fastest Combine speed and agility tests?)
Rondo 6'1"(He has a ring)
Sam Cassell 6'3"(not a pure point more of a combo guard with less athleticism he has 3 rings)
Louis Williams 6'2"(mark my words he will be a monster once he officially takes over the reigns in Philly)
Rafer Alston 6'2"(didn't he start every game for a team that won 22gms in a row?)
Raymond Felton 6'1"(I think a lot of people have suggested trading for him)
Kyle Lowry 6'0"(I think a lot of people have suggested trading form him)
Mike Conley 6'1"(what were the Grizz thinking picking this midget)
Steve Blake 6'2"(Frail Rail but played good enough the Blazer made him their starter and acquired him for a second stint)
DJ Augustin 5'11"(many have suggested trading to get him)

I didn't even bother to mention the weight on some of these guys because they are extremely light. Please the size issue is way overblown.

You can add Daniel Gibson to this list as well. He's defintiely not a pg at 6'1 and the Cavs dont advance to the finals without his heroics. However, he did have Lebron to take some of the ball handling responsibilities. Gordon would really excell if he had another ball handler to play with.

And just to add True. I'm not saying I hate Gordon, I just don't think he's the right choice for us at this team. It's hard to build a case for starting your rebuild around a 6'3 "combo" guard who really doesn't have PG skills.

I do agree that he is a straightup shooter and that certainly has value in this league. I'm just not sure thats the right pick for us right now.

Gordon wouldn't necessarily be the main guy you're building around. In Portland do you think they are building around Roy? or is it Aldridge? or is it Oden? Gordon would essentially be our Brandon Roy.

I didn't say they would be building around him, I was just saying it's tough to START your rebuild around a 6'3 SG who doesn't who have PG skills. I just don't see Gordon being like Roy. Gordon is definitely the better shooter (I don't care what EG shot last year, he's a good shooter), but Roy is definitely an all-around better player and has 3 inches on him.

I just can't see how Gordon would be our Roy. Roy is a 6'6 SG with PG kills, plus I really think that team is built around him, yeah I know Oden is there but Roy is the backbone of that team.

Yeah I left a couple guys off

J-Will(in his hey day)
Ridnour(some have advocated trading for him)
Pargo(Held It Down next to another midget in the backcourt LOL!)
Earl Boykins(I think he dropped 40pts on someone 2yrs ago)
Nate Robinson(ditto except it happened last yr)
Darryl Armstrong(in his hey day)

Now don't get me wrong these guys aren't necessarily world beaters but it gets down to style of play and team makeup. Our team is wrethced yes we know. But I wouldn't draft Gordon with the mindset of who's currently on our roster vs who will be or we would like on our roster yrs down the road. IMO drafting Gordon makes it easier to move someone like Jamal who may get us another pick in the first round.

That's odd because Donnie Walsh feels Gordon would play point guard for stretches in this league.

Well if Donnie has the chance to take Gordon and passes up other guys like Westbrook, then he'll have put his money where his mouth is.

This isn't about me thinking I know more than Donnie, I'm just going on what I've seen. I'll be perfectly happy with whoever Donnie takes, because he knows what he's doing. But there are levels of excitement and to me Gordon wouldn't be an exciting to pick to ME because I don't think he's that good. Hopefully if the Knicks take him, I'm wrong.

I look at it as Gordon couldn't be any worse than anyone else at 6 with the usual suspects gone. He deserves more benefit of the doubt, being as good and/or better going by the season he had as a freshman.

BTW Rose and Bayless are both smaller than Gordon and I don't feel Bayless or Rose are pure points and will spend time playing the 2guard position and people have no problem with them.

I agree that Gordon is much better than some are making him out to be....but I'm not so sure how much stock I put into Walsh saying Gordon can play the point. Walsh also thought George McCloud could play the point in this league LOL......

Every GM makes mistakes in judging talent, at least he owned up to and publicly admitted it. It doesn't mean he doesn't have a keen eye for talent and what a player is capable of. Eric Gordon's size will be irrelevant if he'll be a baller in this league. If size were an issue he'd be out the Top 10 by now.

Am I the only one who looks at Westbrook and thinks of a souped up Fred Jones type of player? Do you guys really think he can play PG? To me he looks like the kind of player you'd like to have on your team, but not really a premium player.
