I love the NBA Draft. It's been ****ty the past few years with Cap'n Zeke at the helm. I was so excited going into the "frye" draft and my excitement was killed with that pick and the whole spring summer I was saying DONT DRAFT FRYE. I'm hoping Donnie won't do me like that.

Give Westbrook, Randolph, or god help us Mayo.

I hate boston winning the way they do. But aside from that I am happy for Garnett but I don't like Paul Pierce. He deserves an Academy Award for the fake injury.

Boston fans are obnoxious a-holes in general in my experience... i can be at a bar wearing my Yankees cap in the middle of winter & some stupid drunk ho will literally yell out "Yankees suck!"... get over it already.

And screw Boston... btw, the Giants winning that superbowl was the biggest win and worst loss in modern sports. Nothing beats 18-1

Now that this BS season is over maybe we can get back to basketball, without outside interference and BS trades between friends. Shouldn't Kevin McHale get half of Ainge's GM of the year and Minn should get half of the Trophy. As for the Lakers they pulled the same BS choosing between the two is like choosing between Satan and the Devil. I'm not getting caught up for the love fest for Pierce and Garnett these two were chumpions and to me still are.

I'm glad his is over now Boston has its championship and their window is officially closed.

i can't help but feel he didn't earn it. i mean how hard did Ewing work over the years and come up short. KG makes it out of the first round one time in 12 years, then gets traded to a stacked team in a weak conference. yeah, he played well, but he didn't put in the years of coming close. I dunno. it seems cheap. i guess that's just sour grapes.

It was NOT a stacked team. Without KG this team goes nowhere. KG did not ride anyone's coattails. He led this team.

I HATE Boston with every fiber of my being, but I LOVE KG, so I was happy for him.

This just sucks tho to have Boston win it all by basically loading up on stars. No real team building over time and thru the draft. This is what Isiah would've loved to have done, but he didn't know how to do it right.

Let me just say this about Ainge. This guy screwed us when Rasheed was available and he basically gave an assist to Detroit so they could get Rasheed. He took on Chucky Atkins and Lindsey Hunter so they could get the deal done. He even said that he didn't want to see NY get Rasheed. Then McHale hands his boy a title by giving them KG. Ainge had done nothing up to that point as a GM and now he can gloat and look like some genius. Everyone wanted him fired before McHale gifted him KG.

You were skeptical from jump ball and all they did from day one is prove to you and other naysayers wrong. I distinctly remember your prove it statements and how K.G. and Allen weren't spring chickens anymore. Please stop the crying and whining over Mchale and Ainge. Mchale rejected Ainge a couple of times before he even made the deal. K.G. even rebuffed the Celtics. Ainge turned to Iverson, Marion, and made an overture to Jermaine O'neal afterwards. Ainge clearly stated if they didn't land in the Lottery K.G. more than likely wasn't going to be a Celtic. Also Mchale didn't just give K.G. away he got back a lot in the deal, in which the rest of the league didn't pony up. So give it a rest already

Well, our previous GM made too many enemies and was caught up in his own hubris. But, that was then and this is now. We know have a GM and a coach that are respected around the league - so hopefully that translates to better times for us.

i think Red Sox fans have more of an inferiority complex to be honest... there's aholes rooting for every team but i just find that most of the ones i come across are wearing Boston caps... dirty, faded, ripped up Boston caps at that with nasty sweat stains all over em & the bills curved to hide their balding scalps & accentuate their wannabe tough guy Youkilis goaties.
