wouldn't mind that either but u gotta know if he puts up stats this year as a starter he's gonna ask for a nice chunk a change when he turns RFA after the season... would u extend him longterm to big bucks?

dj, over at realgm, I made a thread last year about the wizards. I said they would be better off without arenas and would do better with a PG like TJ ford... of course even with the wizards doing well without arenas, most of those posters still feel that they would be better with arenas than with a guard like ford. Some people just don't get it... TJ ford is the type of guard that can supercharge an offense, my problem with him is that he is fragile, but when right, when healthy, he glides around the court at a speed that isn't meant for humans, quick off the dribble and is a much better passer than people think...

with his health issues, not sure I want to move pick 6, but I would move the players that fish mentioned.. if they don't bite, then I do move on as well..

You can't make that move. Ford was almost forced to retire last year. He has a degenerative problem in his back and is one hard foul away from retirement and possible paralaysis. Ford is a risk and to take him you need to give back a guy who is a risk or is flawed in some way. He would be a nice temporary addition. He will only play a max of 60 games with his health concerns and is not a long term solution. He might be ideal if the Knicks got a guy like Westbrook and Ford helped him learn the position.

Doctors say the TJ Ford is as healthy as he was as a rookie, the problem in his back was always there.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

dumping salary means getting less talent back. Thats the wrong direction for a 20 win team. Adding salary for talent makes more sense. TJ Ford is bigtime talent. If Tor wants to move him for Malik or Crawford your have to make that move. Its a no brainer for this team

You sure Isiah hasn't stolen your laptop?

Isn't that why we're in this mess to begin with?
you really think adding talent is why we are in this mess? I dont think you do. I think you know we are in this mess because Isiah grossly misjudged the talent he brought in. He then grossly overpaid for that talent, and to add to it put no thought or plan as to how that talent would play together.

Ainge has a $75mm payroll and he traded away his best young players and draft picks. How is his team playing? I guess if they dont win it all it was a waste right? Maybe they should have tried for cap space?

We should spend the first year or so stockpiling talented players, especially out of the draft, then spend rob the league of all the talent other teams cant afford to pay

yup...the degenerative condition in his spine will always be there...that won't hinder his ability to play. it's the force on his spine that could cause injury. he did come back from that massive hack job by horford directly to the head. chances that type of blow occurs again are quite slim.

THat hit he took from horford would have hurt him regardless of his condition.

ITs just when its a part of your history it plays a bigger role.

I broke my neck when I was 21. A few years later I took a bad fall skiing and sprained it. We took it very seriously at the time and had a full work up and was very carefull. In the end, I freaking sprained it and that was that.

TJ if the price was right would be a good pick up.

The injury to Ford was the second spinal injury that almost ended his career since he has been in the NBA.
