Boston did it with KG and Allan and look where their at now, with Paul Piece???
It's the perfect example of what can be done!
It's such a no brainer!
They made the money good and now their knocking on the door for a championship.
What Knick fan can disagree with that kind of scenario???
Hell, L.A. did it with Shaq and they won three championships.
Unless we're supper lucky (and we're not) like the Spurs who picked up Tim Duncan in the draft or like the bulls, who picked up jordan (both champions mind you), then we are going to have to rely on how we maintain flexibility with our salary and use it in the most promising ways possible.
If we don't have a superstar on this team, then let's go get one! Sooner or later it's gonna happen.
I'll never trust this' team again.

True, they used dumb ass GM's but they did gut their whole team for a 1 or 2 year window. If they win no titles it will be a colossal failure in the end and they'll have to start all over.
New York is an attractive market for any player. New York with money to waste is almost a lock to be a players topic choice. Think of the extra endorsements alone. Nevermind anything else. If they team is semi-competitive in 2 years and they are capable of adding a star player that could put them over the top, why is it so unrealistic and/or terrible to go down that route? Or would you rather trade for someone like Michael Redd and continue our path towards being the best 33 win team money could buy?
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

colossal failure? They are in the finals. Yes.. its a short window but they are in the finals and the guy leading their team is an MVP. And all you can say is small window? If that was the Knicks you would be bitching we didnt keep Al Jefferson and *build* something better right? Your fulla crap dude

Yes, that's all I can say because that's what it is. I'm not full of crap. You keep waiting for the fairy godmother to have a team trade you all-stars and I'll do the same waiting for a player to take our money and sign here. We'll see which plan works out in the end.
