looks like it. or i could even see them trying to lessen his market value so they don't have to pay as much. i could also see some rival gm's leaking these bogus rumors to lessen his trade value as well.

it would be interesting to get a snapshot of the Donnie Walsh trades and see if he ever was taken like Isiah. Other GMs may try to put out bogus reports on Lee but that don't mean Donnie is paying attention to it.

David Lee is a good white ever improving hustle player with a suspect outside shot.

D'Antoni knows what he's looking for and david lee isn't it.

That's ok , many cities in the NBA want a guy like david lee and won't ask him to shoot jumpshots from the outside.

IMHO he's great trade bait for what we don't have , a rebounding shotblocking center and a young up and coming pg.

How do we know what D'Antoni wants?

Just because Lee can't shoot doesn't mean D'Antoni will want Lee gone- No one on this team can shoot, outside of Nate.

And if D'Antoni could choose between Lee & Zach, irrespective of contracts, I strongly believe it would be Lee, not Zach, even though Zach 'can shoot'.

Lee contract can easily be traded, Zach's contract is not that easy to move.

Zach can play inside outside and reb, lee can only play inside and reb.

I don't remember the exact words d'antoni used but i'll try my best:" . . . guys that can shoot(zach from outside, lee from inside), run(lee), pass(lee), defend(draw), rest i can't recall, i only remember"being a good teammate"(lee). I don't know how many qualities i missed out of what he said he looks for in a player but Lee is probably better than zach at everything other than shoot from outside. Lee might compensate by being more effective scorer and not needing shots to score. Might not, but still zach is far from automatic from outside so I think D'antoni might Like Lee better based on what he said were the qualities that he looks for in a player.

D'Antoni also wants guys that can make quick decisions on offense.

I guess Zach is his kinda player cause he quickly decides he is going to shoot

lol yeah. Don't forget that one move where he'll fake like he's gonna shoot, then fake again, then again, then take a jumpshot with the defender in his face.
