David Lee is never becoming an "NBA force" so you should probably start lowering your expectations.

Martin, please store this quote in the vault for two seasons... someone will be eating those words.

But come on he's not even on the level of Amare Stoudamire and Stoudamire plays some of the worst defense in the NBA.

Just wondering: Who do you think plays better defense: Zach or Amare?

Amare. At least he tries and at least he rotates and will block a shot now and then. Zach is swine.

Bonn,

No matter how hard you try you can never get me to say a bad thing about my boy

Allanfan,

Why so harsh Zach is just misunderstood

You do realize this leaves you zero room to complain about any other current Knick player. You admit Zach has flaws correct? If he does what are they?

You know it's crazy, at first glance i thought this can't be a good hire for NYK. D'Antoni is a run and gun guy, used to wide open styles of play.. No Defensive philosophy. I wanted Mark Jackson, or Avery Johnson because of their styles and temperment. Avery being more focused on Defense, and is a no nonsense type of guy. Mark proving to be analytical and giving his Knick history, would just be a nice look for me as a fan.

However, I've adjusted my thinking over the last couple of days. Everyone is saying this is not a good fit because this isn't a NYK style of play. But what is our style? NYK doesn't have an identity nor do we have anything that we florish at consistently on the floor. This can't be such a bad thing! At the very least, we will now have a direction that we will go in. Good, bad or indifferent! Player moves will likely come.

We have a few uptempo players, Crawford, Robinson, Lee, Balkman and perhaps Chandler. Our Bigs running the floor are the issue. What concerns me most is the lack of a point guard that can push the ball.. That's why we better hope on May 20th that we hit the lottery. Derrick Rose or Jerryd Bayless have to be our targets... Michael Beasley would be nice, but not gonna be a game changer for us. POINT GUARD IS OUR GREATEST NEED POSITION.

Sorry Steph!
