LOl at calling Rose another Marbury.
Powerul drive right, predominantly offensive point guard. Anyway your boy lost don't fret too much. He'll be drafted very high if he declares. I just hope we don't draft him to be our point guard of the future.
i like how you discount his rebounding, defense, and ability. marbury never lost in a championship game. trueblue you are a pathetic miser man what would impress you? rose is a 19 year old freshman who played the best out of anyone on the floor. did you watch minutes 8 to 2 of the second half. rose scored 8 points in a row and brought memphis from down 4 to up 4. to say he's a "marbury clone" is embarassing and a beacon of not understanding basketball or holding some bizarre grudge against marbury. get over yourself.
Comparing him to Marbury isn't a bad thing in terms of talent. If a Marbury talent enters the draft this yr where does he go? Probably top 5 right? He's really an undersized 2 guard who needs clear outs and screens set for him to go right so he can do damage. His style of play is what I don't care for, from a point but the kid can ball and so can CDR and plenty of other players who appear to be entering the draft. Dozier was impressive also with his role play.

I used to think this assessment was crazy, but the more I watch Rose, he does play a lot like Marbury - they have a similar skill set (at least before Marbury started going downhill). The question is, can he carry himself like more of a professional and be more of a leader than Sourbury? He is bigger than Marbury, too, and a better rebounder. But he does a lot of the driving into traffic and leaving his feet that Marbury does, has the same suspect jumper. Anyway, I still like him better than most prospects in the draft. It's hard to project qualities like character and leadership from watching a game on TV - the real things that have kept Steph from making himself a great player. I hope Donnie can make the right call.
