I wouldn't mind Jax coming in as head coach but they really need to surround him with a few solid X's and O's coaches. I'd keep Hanners and Herb but everyone else needs to go out with Isiah, especially Glymph, Suhr and Aguirre. At the very least Jax would have 2 full seasons to learn on the job before any expectations are put on him.

If the plan is to get Jax into the front office, I would make him the Assistant GM. He has a lot more to learn up there than on the sidelines.

Brendan Suhr, the fat white guy Isiah always sits next to, or seemingly. After hearing him in one interview about last years draft, I have ZERO DOUBT in my mind that the only reason that guy was hired was to massage the ego of Isiah Thomas, and maybe massage Isiah himself.

LMAO, listen to this interview with him. You'll wanna cry and throw up at the same time, but after doing that for 10 minutes, you'll probably laugh.

Short answer: Too much business + 2 fantasy B-Ball leagues + girlfriend = somethings gotta give.

But I love Mark Jackson so I have to show love when he is the topic!

The Answer Man Would Be LOT Less Comfortable With a guy like Fratello or Hubie Brown as coach But It Don't Really Matter If The Answer Man Is Comfortable, It Only Matters That The Knicks Players Respond To The Next Head Coach

Q 4949 - If Walsh is willing to wait to free up the cap and let most of these players ride until LeBron is free, then why' would he need to hire a GM? Especially if he is' the GM?

A. Walsh is President of Basketball Operations. Not the GM. Decisions on cap space, just like team identity and playing personality are componenets of an overall strategy. He will have oversight and delegate the execution of that strategy to his executive staff in the form of cohesive tactics, such as research (Asst GM) and intelligence on potential transactions (GM) and game preparation (head coach)

So, 4949, while "he is willing to wait to free up the cap and let most of these players ride" (say what?) Walsh is still 67. By the time the "magical" 2010-11 season arrives, he will be 71.

He better pace himself.

That's a good question about the age thing. Now wait a minute. isiah had pres-gm. That should've passed onto Donnie.
I'll never trust this' team again.

I want Action Jackson as coach. Next year is a throw away year anyways. Let him get his feet wet right away. I am also interested in Greg Anthony as the GM and Patrick Ewing and Clyde in the coaching staff.

Yup..All Knicks all the time!

Greg Anthony as GM makes me wanna puke.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Not necessarily 4949 - Isiah had three titles. It was Dolan's way of saying, "sink or swim with your decisions".

This is nothing new for the espionage that is MSG politics. The more important observation is with Mills conspicuosly absent from the Donnie Walsh press conference, the power at 2 Penn Plaza is already re-allocated to make the Knicks a more autonomous enterprise.

Walsh, inheriting a significant slice of Mills influence, reports directly to Dolan.

Who reports to Walsh?
