If he came in here without announcing to both Dolan and the fans that it will be a long road back to prominence, I could see that happening.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

if/when dolan introduces Walsh, then it has to be preempted by a mea culpa for the Isiah era.

If Dolan can do that, and I know he can't, then he would have my respect.

Otherwise, Dolan as thoughtless dictator still permeates the scene and we'll have to question Walsh moves under that lens.

I personally don't think Donnie Walsh would have any say over whether or not Isiah would be able to remain with the franchise. That is Dolan's decision and Dolan's alone.

just makes you wonder. 'What in the hell is the point of having a new gm anyway'?

I didn't mean that in a negative sense. I think that if Walsh does come here, he will have complete control over the basketball side of the operations, if he doesn't get that, I don't think he'd come. I think the ONLY thing Walsh wouldn't have control over is the idea of keeping Isiah. I think if Walsh is hired then theres no chance that Dolan lets Isiah stay with this franchise.

Latin for what we would say today as "my bad".

My Bad

A. Dolan: "Isiah Thomas will be retained in Frank Layden's former position as Special Consultant..."

Dolan has too much of an ego to admit failure.

If you make moves to cover previous moves IMO that's as much to admitting a mistake than flat out saying it.
