Bip, why you always so concerned about being right?

I was thinking about Rose and Nate playing together. That would be really interesting. I think a guy like Rose could put Nate to better use. Rose is a quiet guy, but plays like a guy who can talk the walk. I think he could balance Nate out becasue Nate gets excited about those explosive type players. Except a guy like Rose, doesn't talk much. No attitude, just the way I like em.

Nate is probably the better point guard at this point. LOL

How so? Just because Rose chose to play at a college that had a chance of winning a championship, but at the same time stressed ball movement, thus killing his individual stats? I'd say that shows more of what kind of teammate and person he is, rather than he's not a good PG.

4949, I've talked about Derrick Rose since the summer so much that most people probably want me to be banned over it. You must have missed the posts.

I wanted you banned either way. Is it possible to still get you banned? j/k

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

It's all true. You guys know I don't go for chicago people, but this would be the exception. Rose's got a very good attitude about himself and about the people around him. He is definately a give up the ball first, before a shoot player. Totally the opposite of starbury. And I think much, much more talented, with a huge upward of potential.

The funny thing is, when you see him in interviews, he's so quiet, that his demeanor doesn't match up with the talent he brings to his game. You'd expect someone who played like that, to speak up and brag a little, but not Rose. That's what I find most unique about this kid. No talk and all play. That's why I think he'd balance someone like Nate out. He could bring a confidence to this team with the kind of character he has. That's what I think of this guy.
I'll never trust this' team again.

I got em listed like that too...
I really like Beasley as our SF... finally having a real Scorer at the 3. But I prefer the mature and high BB IQ of Rose!!! Both are outstanding in this draft, but I would prefer to see Rose manning the PG position for the Knicks the next 10 years!!! I really like his on and off court behaviour!

He may be able to overpower ppl at collegiate level but day in day out in the NBA he'll be facing taller, more athletic ppl day in and out.

Isn't this usually' the case with majority of rooks? His strength and build can be built up, once he's in the pros. It's his skill and willingness to work hard on them is what impresses me. I think he can excell if given the chance. But he should not be the main focus, if we get a shot at the top guys.

I agree with you his skill sets and his work ethic sets him apart. I think he will drop and I wonder if we can somehow get just one more pick in this draft to pick him up.

The more you watch him on tape--it becomes evident that his skills will translate over to the NBA in a big time way from perhaps the most important position on both sides of the ball. Derrick appears to have incredible power and speed--the ability to push --the ability to get to where he wants to go and to make a good decision once he gets there and no one can do anything to stop it 1-1. His jumpshot is a bit flat--his form not the best but he can make shots and he looks like a hard worker. The next best thing to having a big man protect the basket--is having a PG who can stop the ball---he has the power length athletic ability and speed in any direction to be a lock up defender from the PG position[or as much as you can do from there]. He's NOT a better skill player than Michael Beasley--he's a better team basketball player IMHO who also great 1-1 skills/ unusual power and top grade athletic ability. He's a good passer[not great] and there is no doubt he will need to improve but I now think he represents the best value to the NY Knicks in this draft. Thats not to say I wouldnt be thrilled with Beasley but I would move hom down to a 1B position.

I don't follow college ball much but I would love the Knicks to get Rose, let him run the team for the full year, tanking/learning in the process. Get rid of Marbury and one of Curry/ZBo and be in another good draft position next year to grab a legit 2-way big.

Knicks need to move Crawford to 6th man until he learns to play defense. Start something like Rose, Chandler, Balk, Lee, Curry/Zbo all year long with Nate, Craw and whatever off the bench.

funny I am leaning towards Rose also. He can destroy anyone off the dribble but most of all I love how hard he works ON BOTH ENDS OF THE COURT. Maybe its been so long since I saw a guard play defense its just so startling to me

Of course, we're talking about Tyler Hansborough, but I see him dropping also. But not too far. I wonder if we can make a trade with one of our players (an expiring - Rose or starbury), for another draft pick? Is that possible people?
