since popularity determines respect around here, i guess Bonn needs to revise the parameters of this topic... my vote goes to PapaBear.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

I'm from the school that believes you can't judge a person till you've gone a few rounds in the ring with them.

As someone who isn't particularly respectful towards others, I've always enjoyed my exchanges with newyorknewyork. He's always been more than fair, even when going the distance.

It's also easy to be respectful when you aren't possessed of strong or divergent opinions. But the guy who was willing to put forth the truth without offending is our man djsunyc.

Somewhere is a Raptors board that's happy to have him.

Papabear came here from NYTimes sports discussions board after they closed the knicks section. Even tho some of you didn't like his style with the "PapaBear says:" (which he was using on the NYT board too)i always thought he was a respectful poster and i thought he cared about the knicks.

Andrew, I could see him being a candidate. Martin, though, that guy... .... **** There really are no ***** words for it.

In all seriousness, I'm not going to pick favorites, but I think you could legitimately add a few guys to the list: Bonn, who I think does make a genuine attempt to be respectful. I also think you have to give Nixluva some props. He's gotten trashed and bashed many times before, but he never stoops to personal insults, even when he's been personally insulted. You have to respect that.
