that is something i thought too, i like gundy, i don't think he is the greatest in the world but adequate for certain jobs. to groom a confident superstar in waiting like lebron i don't see that as a job for gundy.

no doubt about the ball being in lebrons hands, lebrons instincts are one of his strongest skills. his passing ability sets him apart from guys like anthony. cause he can do all the things anthony can as well as pass.

lets not disredit jason kidd, kidd is the best passer since magic slightly ahead of tigh shorts man.

for all you white guys or UTAH fans stocktan has the assist lead, i love him but NO he is not better than magic

Let me tell you Ice, it took me a long time to get to the point that I could say MJ was better than Magic... that's how GREAT I thought Magic Johnson was... I absolutely loved the way he played this game.

Of course you care what I say... and I say more and more talent is coming from Europe. Period.

Three years from now, you'll see more of the three you mentioned... hopefully one will be called Lampe.

magic is my favorite bball player of all time, and sometimes i still try to convice my self that he was better than jordan.

watching a magic highlights it's always like seeing his stuff for the first time. he was incredible.

there will be more euro players no doubt, but lets calm down about all these euro guys being so great
three so far.

Dirk
Peja
Drazen Petrovic
Sabonis
Divac
Gasol
Kirilenko
Turkoglu
Kukoc
Radmonovic
Tskitskvili (3rd pick last year)
Tony Parker

Now, add all the players drafted in the first round like

Milicic
Pietrus
Diaw
Planinic
Liandrigno (Argentina)
Podolzine (kid who Knicks wanted and pulled out)
Lampe

trend bro, trend.

I'll try one more time to get this through your thick skull... look at the existing European players... then look at the number of players drafted in the first round this year... part of it due to early entry over the yrs. from NCAA... part due to the GLOBAL growth of the sport. Whether you want to admit it or not... you're in denial if you don't see the trend, my friend.

Mark my words... we trade Vujanic, 3-4 years from now he'll be a top point guard in this league.
pike, I don't think he wants to play in the NBA, I don't think he even entered the draft, layden just drafted his azz.... lOL..

... more $$$, more experience and in a couple of years he'll be a real player in this league. You'll rue the day Layden traded his rights.

Pike, I agree with Ice, I mean this is a TREND. A lot of NBA teams are looking for the next Dirk, and that is why we see the big increase in Euro players. In all honesty I feel only a small and I mean small % will be even close or as good as the 3 Ares mentioned...
Like you said, hopefully one of them name is Lampe..

I would also like to add Gasol's name to that list, I think he is as good of a player as Pedja is.... Not quite Dirk, but not too far either..

and even Playa made a good point earlier, these players have not been ruined by this countries obsession with the three point shot.... starting with the ridiculous NCAA which has the arc near the foul line.

I have the feeling, Layden will just hold on to this pick, unless he is just blown away with a offer for a good young player...

Nice to see ARES isn't the only one missing my point... re-read this tkf... let it sink in ... Milicic could be the next great European player.

pike i guess you haven't see dirk notwiski play.

anytime you agree with playa you should know better.

dude is a 7 footer and 8 out of 10 of his shots are three pointers.

i wont go into the other guys, but if you making a case for them being hot sheet name the last one to lead them to a championship, name the last time stoyabitch didn't choke in the clutch.

name the last time sabonis did something that matter

where has kukoc been since jordan left.

name the last time turkalou beat and aging vagabond jim jackson for playing time.

name one not named ginolbi that has heart, i mean even the kid from spain on memphis got punked by Jason william for not playing tough enough.
Jayson Williams pike.

please dukes.

Pike, no doubt the euro players have come up.... The problem I have is now all of a sudden, every guy in this draft from europe is supposed to be this great all around player, that has a high bball Iq, 6'11, with handles and a jumper. It sounds all too good man. And what we find is that a lot of these guys are good all around but never really good at any one thing, and the rest turn out to be the Dirks, pedja, and Gasol's of the league...... What I am saying with this big influx, you will find most of these guys are good shooters, passers, and dribblers, but overall somehow that translates into a lot of average European players....
