....laugh at McGrady just being "a flashy player that cant get out of the first round"...and Lee, Balkman, Robinson, ext...being reduced to worthlessness just because they have Isiah's stamp on them. How surprised am I to see that the worst possible slant is taken.

Getting back on track, obviously the sample size is minuscule, but what I took away from Chandler's performance was his aggressiveness and skill set. He dribbles and moves well and is not afraid to take a shot. He didnt shrink against a strong opponent and in crunch time ball. Encouraging signs given the way Zeke has handled his role this season. Plus he's pretty athletic. Its not a request, but a demand that we see more of him for the remaeder of the season.

excellent post..

Morris was not intimidated either... his execution on offense did not seem hesitant or awkward (READ: like a typical night of Curry(''); He brings a nice presence down low... and surprised me with his execution considering he has logged so few meaningful minutes.

True...and good looking, TKF. Appreciate it. I think the consensus is that Morris is probably going to be on the first thing smoking once this season ends due to Zeke's mismanagement --- hence the concentration on Chandler's development.

Its just sad. Morris could have filled several voids and compensated for the holes in Curry and Zbo's respective games. He could have been easily integrated into the rotation. Not to mention Chandler, given how much of an abject failure Q Rich has become. I cant even wrap my mind around the decision making process of the Zeke administration.

no problem, I enjoyed the post... anyway you make a good point about morris. I mean why would he want to stay here willingly after being jerked around all year? now we can match any offer he gets up to a certain point, I am not sure of the CBA rules, but we can keep him if we want, but that would have to be another GM making that evaluation. Certainly not Isiah.. But I wonder, all of those games where curry was benched, and Isiah went with malik and jeffries, I mean couldn't morris have offered us something? you mean to tell me that morris could not bring to the table what we were getting from malik and jeffries? I mean come on... It is mismanagement no matter how you look at it...

I know that it's easy to bash just about anything that Isiah has done, but you can't be so jaded and not recognize the talents of the players he's drafted. THIS DOESN'T MEAN HE'S GOOD AT TEAM BUILDING! We can clearly see that he's not and that's been a huge problem. The point is that many of these very same players put in a better situation would stand a good chance of doing well. Aside from Frye, none of these guys were drafted at a position that would warrant greatness, so complaining that we've gotten a lot of role players and guys who may be a bit better than that isn't fair. From what I've seen some of these guys seem capable of contributing and having a career in this league. Go and see how many guys taken in the same drafts probably aren't even in the league.

I've seen Lee hit more midrange jumpers this year and he's looked confident. I don't believe he's reached his full potential yet. We need to make the most of this years draft and continue to develop the guys we have. Lee, Nate, Balk, Chan, Mardy and Morris could be part of the future for this team and we need to start focusing on their development. It's long overdue.

I can separate his drafting from his other skills or lack thereof. I don't consider his drafting to be on the same level of failure as everything else he's done. I've maintained that I like many of the players on this team regardless of how the mix has worked or not. There's no disputing the teams record, but that's not what we're discussing here. Young players that we need to see play in order to evaluate is the issue here. Chandler looks promising as does Morris. That doesn't mean they're both locks to be hot stuff. I just want to see them get a fair shot and more importantly with a better man at the helm.

I understand what Isiah was trying to do, but he failed to bring it all together the right way. I thought he was on the right track with taking Chan and Nichols and having picked up Morris. We needed what those players bring to the table. Then Isiah went and mucked it up. I thought the idea was to add more perimeter shooting, defense and to sure up the PF spot next to Curry. He could've looked to cut James and added one of the available perimeter shooters this summer. He went with Zach, which wasn't anyone's top choice to fill our needs, but I can understand what he was thinking. The problem is he didn't have a really good plan for how he'd use Zach and Curry. He didn't forsee how Zach would effect Lee and Curry. The simple thing to do would be to limit Zach and bring him along slowly. Let things work in much the way they did last year and make Zach be the one to fit in. He gave Zach carte blanche from day 1 and pushed Lee and Curry to the back of the bus. Anyway all of this is water under the bridge now. I want to focus on the teams future. See what these kids have and look to draft a player who can help this team to improve. I can see drafting Thabeet to anchor the D and picking up Carlos Arroyo to run the point.
