Trueblue, you're digging your own grave right now man and Kam is KOing you. lmao

Is he? It looks more like Kam has some kind of scary obsession with details of Trueblue's life, manhood, and fanhood.

You're probably another one.

Another one what?

Imagine being a young kid, you just started learning the game and how to play it at 8-9yrs of age and then not long thereafter you're sitting in your living room watching M.J. drop 63 on an All-Time Great/Champion and Diety at the time just starting his legacy.

I watched that game too. Somehow I resisted the temptation to be a fruntrunner.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

No it is a big deal. A trueblue fan of the Knicks could never root for the Bulls.

But I didn't start liking them until Camby, Spree, and L.J. were here. Over 10yrs of following them, which counts for something maybe not TRUEBLUE in the sense of the handle but a fan nonetheless. I can see where my handle may throw things off but a handle is a handle.

That, my friend, sounds like a typical bandwagon fan. Why all of a sudden, did you become a fan when these guys joined the fold? This sounds like you are more of fan of players as opposed to teams.

If you rooted for Jordan, then obviously, you rooted for the Bulls. He's no longer there so do you still root for the Bulls? Camby, LJ and Spree are gone, do you still root for the knicks? Judging from alot of your posts, it doesn't look as if you are a truebluse fan of this team.

I didn't root for Jordan when he was on the Wizards. I didn't root for Jordan when The Bulls played the Sonics in The Finals. I don't root for the Bulls now. Yes I still root for the Knicks even though those guys are gone but I won't put up with I SAY UGH or Dolan since they don't have a bottomline of winning and giving it your all.

You know how many people currently like/started liking the Knicks just because David Lee is one and they might be in their late teens early 20's?

WTF?? No, tell us... how many. I'm sure you've got it figured out scientifically.

We have a little cousin who is 2 years old and I have no freaking idea how I'm going to get him to become a Knicks fan. Maybe I should save the kid the trouble and let him root for LeBron or whoever he wants to root for.

He was loser then LOL! He was constantly losing in the first round. What would you have been frontrunning?

If this is the case...

Why do Knick fans frontrun Kobe, who is nothing but a knockoff M.J.

Cuz the Wiz weren't any good?

Was this when you were in your GP phase?

That I agree with. Isiah looks like he is mailing in the season and Dolan already said he's not talking about the Knicks for a while.

There isn't much left of this season. The only reason to watch is to see the kids get some playing time.

When you score 63 points in a game you can't be called a loser. Many kids fell prey to MJ from that performance. Sure I liked what he did to the CELTS, and I was wishing we had him on the Knicks but so what? I had a team already. And I already hated the Bulls by that point for when they'd beat the Knicks. Therefore I learned to live with hating MJ.

Kobe is not a Knick-killer. Kobe barely registers on my hate scale.

This topic has turned into a crapshoot of crap.

It isn't worth being a fan of a team that could care less about it's own fans and about establishing pride and honor. This pitiful ownership is more concerned with controlling the media in a psychotic paranoid manner than the actual product on the floor.

I don't want a stupid robotic coach churning out standard answers with a lame PR guy right next to him. I want to see some emotion. I want to see someone pissed off. I want to see a Denny Green/Jim Mora situation. Show me that someone cares.

I don't want a fat **** spoiled brat owner whose idea of success is putting people in the seats and winning 30 games a season.

I don't want a bunch of wussy players who cry about the media and blame everyone else but themselves for putting in half-assed efforts.

I don't want any of this **** and if Isiah returns I am done for a long time. I am not putting trust or any other emotion into this piece of crap franchise because frankly they don't deserve any of it and it's a waste of my time.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

No it wasn't because the Wiz weren't good. I wasn't rooting for the Wiz because I was on board with the Knicks. I didn't root for M.J.'s last 3 titles.

^^^ From a BULLS fan.

ROFL! a bandwagoner Bulls fan who came over once the Bulls started to suck, & he's here lecturing diehard Knicks fans who say they root for the logo & not the name on the back of the jersey... what a fraud.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Ahem. The question was, is it worth being a fan anymore? I would say unequivocally that it is more than worth it. It is a time to not only experience, but revel in our joy.

Apparently you missed the memo stating I didn't like them during their last 3 championship runs.

Old enough to remember some good Knick role players from the past like Kenny Sky Walker, Trent Tucker, Gerald Wilkins, Bill Cartwright, Derek Harper, Xavier McDaniel.

Don't forget the all NBA great Rory Sparrow.

I go back to the King days. I met those guys. I really thought letting Xavier McDaniel go was the biggest mistake Knicks management made. He could have gotten us that 94 championship. That little extra we needed, during the jordan-less year, after he retired for a year and a half.
I'll never trust this' team again.

FRAUD!... what kinda ex-Bulls fan starts rooting for the Knicks? that's like an ex-Red Sox fan converting to become a Yankees fan. pathetic.

Honestly, I root for only one name on the back of one of those jersey's. As far as the logo, I now have reservations about that also. Thank's dolan.

Criticize me. I am still a fan. I still sit in the seventh row. I still cheer for the win. I am not looking for some magic lotto ticket to turn this team in to a Championship squad. We are about 9 good players away from a Championship team. I don't expect my team every time I head to the Garden. Lately, I am pleasantly surprised if they do. I don't say "support failure" or "cheer for incompetence"... but I am not overdramatic with the sense of defeatist logic that runs rampant on this board. The term "fair-weather fan" is reserved for fans that only show up when the team is doing well. I wouldn't call the whiners on this board "fair-weather fans" cause the outlook is gloomy and they are still here. The fair-weather fans are wearing Celtics and Lakers jerseys.

But, to answer the question: Is it worth being a fan anymore? Right now, you are going to put a lot more into it then you are going to get back. But you can't stop being a fan now and then pick up where you left off later, if and when they get better. It's not the same. It's easy to be a fan when a team is winning. Only you can decide whether you are willing to bear through the tough times in order to understand the good. Its very costly these days. And there is no promise of future repayment. I still care though.

You know I gonna spin wit it
